Senator Ted Cruz on Thursday introduced a bill that would block federal funding for any agency engaged in critical race theory training.
Cruz (R-TX) denounced the “Marxist” training as a means to divide people “between the races.”
“The federal government has no right to force a political agenda onto Americans, especially one that aims to tear down our institutions and divide us based on race,” he said.
The Texas Republican criticized President Biden for rescinding an executive order by his predecessor on the matter and declared “the Democratic Party will stop at nothing to indoctrinate Americans.”
A companion bill was introduced to the House in May by Representative Burgess Owens (R-UT), who is black.
Owens, long a critic of the Democrat Party as the true purveyor of racism and segregation, says critical race theory “preserves” the thinking of “the Jim Crow south.”

Cruz Combats Critical Race Theory
Former President Donald Trump signed an executive order in September of 2020 prohibiting federal agencies, federal contractors, and federal grant recipients from providing workplace blame-focused training such as race stereotyping.
Trump further took aim when he announced his 1776 Commission designed to promote patriotic education and push back against leftist indoctrination efforts.
“Students in our universities are inundated with critical race theory,” the former President stated.
“This is a Marxist doctrine holding that America is a wicked and racist nation, that even young children are complicit in oppression, and that our entire society must be radically transformed.”
President Biden revoked the executive order on his first day in the White House.
Joe Biden and Democrats have shown they will stop at nothing to indoctrinate Americans.
That’s why I introduced a bill to block federal funding for #CriticalRaceTheory.

Cruz raised the ire of the left when he compared critical race theory to the KKK, charging that it is as racist as “Klansmen in white sheets.”
“Critical race theory says America is fundamentally racist and irredeemably racist,” he analyzed. “Critical race theory seeks to turn us against each other.”

Military Leader Defends Critical Race Theory: ‘I Want To Understand White Rage’
Ted Cruz’s announcement of legislation that would ban federal funding for critical race theory training comes hours after Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Army General Mark Milley offered a vociferous defense of its study in the military.
“I do think it’s important, actually, for those of us in uniform to be open-minded and be widely read … and it is important that we train and we understand,” Milley said during a House Armed Service Committee hearing Wednesday.
“I want to understand white rage, and I’m white,” he added, a phrase earning him adulation in the leftist media.

Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said while testifying before Congress, pushing back on accusations from a Republican congressman that the military was becoming too “woke.” https://t.co/ix4dKxrC2d pic.twitter.com/HkFVB7d6Ur

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), in a rebuttal speech to President Joe Biden’s address to Congress in April, addressed critical race theory.
“Today, kids are being taught that the color of their skin defines them again — and if they look a certain way, they’re an oppressor,” Scott claimed.
He accused Democrats of pushing a racial divide by pretending America hasn’t made any progress since the days of slavery, “doubling down on the divisions we’ve worked so hard to heal.”
“Hear me clearly: America is not a racist country.”

“Hear me clearly: America is not a racist country,” Scott declared.
Not only is the opposite being taught in schools but now, with leaders like Milley, it’s creeping into our military.
Why would any young person fight wholeheartedly for a country that his leaders and teachers have told him is racist?
“This is the United States of America, and no one should ever be subjected to the discrimination that our laws so clearly prohibit,” Owens said in a statement on critical race theory.
