At CPAC, Steve Bannon Pledges ‘Deconstruction of the Administrative State’

Steve Bannon, who currently serves as President Donald Trump’s Chief White House Strategist, is the one individual the liberal media hates the most in this administration. Bannon has made it known that he despises the liberal media, calling them the “opposition party” and rejecting their corporate, globalist mentality.

Rather than accept the failed Republican views that have cost them election after election, Bannon believes in an America-first view of politics, one that rejects trade policies that harm the American worker.

Obviously, this drives establishment Republicans mad, as they for decades have promoted policies that have ignored the working man, and Bannon recognized this, and has helped President Trump speak to the millions of forgotten men and women who have felt ignored for decades.

One of Bannon and President Trump’s greatest criticisms has been the ever-increasing power held by Washington, D.C. bureaucrats, specifically how more and more government power has been concentrated by the Executive Branch and the permanent bureaucracy that both Republicans and Democrats have helped expand.

Well, during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Thursday, Bannon pledged that this administration would work tirelessly day in and day out for “deconstruction of the administrative state.”

From The Washington Post:

“If you think they’re going to give you your country back without a fight, you are sadly mistaken,” Bannon said in reference to the media and opposition forces. “Every day, it is going to be a fight.”

He continued, “And that is what I’m proudest about Donald Trump. All the opportunities he had to waver off this, all the people who have come to him and said, ‘Oh, you’ve got to moderate’ — every day in the Oval Office, he tells Reince and I, ‘I committed this to the American people, I promised this when I ran, and I’m going to deliver on this.’ ”

At the core, Bannon said in his remarks, is a belief that “we’re a nation with an economy — not an economy just in some global marketplace with open borders, but we are a nation with a culture and a reason for being.”

Bannon repeatedly used the phrase “economic nationalism” and posited that Trump’s withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement was “one of the most pivotal moments in modern American history.”

Here’s a video of Bannon’s full remarks at CPAC, during a discussion with White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus:

Many establishment Republicans, Democrats, and the liberal media fear Bannon and President Trump because they both want to eliminate the concentration of power held by the federal government and return it to the states and the American people.

Trump’s critics will try and delegitimize this administration because they know his success means that the liberal media and their establishment allies will fail. Bannon has sent a strong message to the establishment members of government and media that their control over this country is over, and instead America will return power to the people.
