Trump Calls for New Immigration Laws – CNN Immediately Calls it Racist

President Donald Trump outlined new immigration policy today in promoting the RAISE Act. He spoke alongside Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.) and David Perdue (Ga.) in support of the law, which was a revised version of a bill that both senators first introduced in April to cut immigration significantly.

In particular, Trump spoke about the explosion of low-skilled legal immigration, which has put downward pressure on the wages of low-skilled Americans.

Right on cue, liberals decided to somehow make this an issue about race, not about the real very costs associated with low-skilled legal, and illegal immigration. The following debate took place between CNN’s lovable loser Jim Acosta and White House policy adviser Stephen Miller.

CNN’s Jim Acosta sparred with White House advisor Stephen Miller in a seriously heated back-and-forth over immigration.

Acosta told Miller, “What you’re proposing or what the President’s proposing here does not sound like it’s in keeping with American tradition when it comes to immigration.”

He quoted the words on the Statue of Liberty “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses” and asked Miller if he’s “trying to change what it means to be an immigrant coming into this country.”

Miller pushed back by saying the words were “added later” and things got even more heated from there.

Acosta at one point asked, “Are we just going to bring in people from Great Britain and Australia?”

Miller said he was “shocked” by the statement and said it shows his “cosmopolitan bias.” And then this happened:

MILLER: That you think only people from Great Britain or Australia would speak English is so insulting to millions of hardworking immigrants who do speak English from all over the world. Jim, have you honestly never met an immigrant from another country who speaks English outside of Great Britain and Australia? Is that your personal experience?

ACOSTA: Of course there are people who come in from other parts of the world.

MILLER: That’s not what you said and it shows your cosmopolitan bias.

ACOSTA: It just sounds like you’re trying to engineer the racial and ethnic flow of people into this country.

MILLER: That is one of the most outrageous, ignorant, insulting, and foolish things you’ve ever said.

There certainly were no racial overtones in Trump’s proposed immigration reform, but there are some serious racial overtones in the immigration policy of the nation most aggrieved by Trump: Mexico. In fact, the Mexican government will bar foreigners if they upset “the equilibrium of the national demographics,” do not enhance the country’s “economic or national interests,” or are “not found to be physically or mentally healthy.” Mexico also prohibits entry to those who show “contempt against national sovereignty or security.” Immigrants to Mexico must not pose a risk of increasing costs to their government, and must have a clean criminal record.

Can you even imagine a liberal complaining about Mexico’s “racist” immigration laws?

  1. I believe one of the requirements for an FCC station license is that the station must serve the public trust. Putting out Fake News violates this trust and the FCC needs to revoke their station license as well as any other station that violates the public trust.

  2. CNN, in all its assorted forms, broadcasts with in the US, using airwaves owned by the american people.
The right to use them is allocated to broadcasters who meet specific terms, under the law.
CNN, in its current state is very different from a global news agency it began as.
As an American, I find CNN, with its assorted broadcasters, no longer American in any sense of the word. worse, its program heads routinely harass, challenge and obstruct the functioning of the government of the people. One might suggest it is factually seditious in nature.
I would (and will) ask my representatives for a copy of the agreement CNN has with the US government and monitor their leads, their statements and their opinions on shows listed as ‘news’ shows.
this anti-American hostile actor must lose its license and contract . Let it begin.

  3. If CNN calls this racist, then they are calling Canada and Austrailia Racists. It’s a good bill, it will be good for the health and safety of the nation and unless we want to end up like the 3rd world nations around the world, then it is an excellent idea. Of course, they should also know that if we do drown, then we can’t help other nations. The other nations had better give that some thought as well.
