Rep. Ayanna Pressley accused those avoiding Asian restaurants in the wake of a media-hyped coronavirus panic of “racism and xenophobia.”
Perhaps wanting to get more of the race-baiting spotlight from her colleagues or simply having read the memo from them that everyone in America is ‘racist,’ Pressley (D-MA) took to the House floor to make her outlandish accusations.
“Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, we’ve seen not only the spreading of the virus but also a rapid spreading of racism and xenophobia,” she claimed without evidence.
That’s Racist (Yawn)
Pressley went on to suggest that labeling the origin of the coronavirus as ‘Chinese’ is also an effort to incite anti-Asian discrimination.
“My district is home to nearly 32 percent foreign-born residents with more than a quarter immigrating from Asia,” she continued.
Wait, she just labeled people ‘foreign-born’? What a bigot!
“This painful rhetoric has consequences,” Pressley continued. “Restaurants across Boston’s Chinatown have seen up to an 80 percent drop in business and I believe this has everything to do with the rapid spread of misinformation and paranoia.”
“Since the beginning of the #COVID19 outbreak, we have seen not only the spreading of the virus, but also a rapid spreading of racism and xenophobia.”

Straight-Up Dumb
Pressley then went full AOC. Nobody goes full AOC.
“It is critical that we stand against these inciteful messages and assuage fears in our communities and we do that by dispelling untruths and misinformation,” Pressley added.
The comments echoed those of her fellow Squad member, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who was widely ridiculed earlier in the week when she claimed Americans weren’t “patroning” Asian restaurants due to “straight-up racism.”

Misinformation
Ironic, isn’t it, that Pressley complains about misinformation then falsely claims Americans are racist because they’re avoiding eating Chinese takeout.
But then, despite being one of the less prominent Squad members, she is equally as willing to make up stories to advance her ‘America is awful’ agenda.
Just last month, Pressley declared that the Constitution of the United States is “sexist” by its nature and continues to “shackle” women to this very day.
The Constitution is sexist by design. The year is 2020 & women in this country STILL aren’t considered equal to men in the eyes of the federal gov’t.
Tomorrow’s vote on HJ Res 79 is a vote to actualize the movements built on the backs of women. It’s a vote for equality. #ERANow pic.twitter.com/cVYzw3hiVn

Now it would appear the Squad and members of the media have all joined in and decided their latest talking point – linking China with the Wuhan coronavirus, a geographically accurate label, makes you a racist.
