Hillary Clinton Makes Strong Statement About Syria Before Attack

On the global stage, many world leaders have expressed support for President Trump’s Tomahawk strike on a Syrian airfield.

The U.S. response to the horrific chemical attacks in Syria that allegedly killed 70 people has been widely praised.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for example, said in a statement that Trump “sent a strong and clear message” that “the use and spread of chemical weapons will not be tolerated.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull also told reporters that the Australian government supported the “swift and just response” of the U.S. airstrikes.

But it might just be an unlikely source that helps keep the eventual liberal attacks on Trump at bay.

Hillary Clinton, hours before Trump took action, offered her own advice on how to deal with the Syrian chemical attack. Her suggestion involved using military action to “take out his (Assad’s) air fields.”

Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state, gave a wide-ranging interview in New York Thursday where she called on the U.S. to carry out airstrikes on Syrian airfields in order to prevent more chemical attacks on its citizens.

“I really believe we should have and still should take out his air fields and prevent him from being able to use them to bomb innocent people and drop sarin gas on them,” Clinton made the comment during an interview with New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof at a women’s summit.

Clinton went on to say that failing to take a tough stance on the Syrian president was one of her worst policy mistakes during her time as Secretary of State under President Obama.

“I think we should have been more willing to confront Assad,” Clinton said in the interview.

Trump has done exactly that, raining 60 tomahawk missiles on a Syrian government airbase, rendering it “almost completely destroyed.”

There’s little doubt the left will initially try to portray Clinton as the mastermind behind Trump’s actions, but it’s important to note that she’s in full agreement with what he did. They will eventually pivot to declaring Trump’s actions lawless and unconstitutional, but this reminder from Clinton will easily disarm that argument.
