So this is the solution to school violence! A school in Alabama forced a 5-year-old to sign a contract promising not to kill anyone after she pointed a crayon at a classmate and said “pew pew.”
The 5-year-old girl was also given a quiz about her mental state.
The girl’s mother spoke off-camera to NBC News and said her 5-year-old had asked her what suicide was and why the school thought she might do it.
“While I was in the lobby waiting, they had my 5-year-old sign a contract about suicide and homicide,” the girl’s mother said.
“There should be a different way to handle this situation. If this is protocol it needs to be looked at again,” she added.
This is what “zero tolerance” idiocy has come to. Schools are turning perfectly healthy, normal children into criminals while simultaneously doing nothing to prevent the next school shooting. Only a heavily unionized, government-run system, like the one that operates American public schools, could come up with a punishment so asinine.
PATHETIC!…They have done more harm to this child than good. No wonder more and more people are home schooling their children. I agree with Jeff just how uneducated are some teachers and principles and where does this crap come from? Your no bullying policies do not work. You see articles in the paper, on line and everywhere about how bullying is in schools. Why is the education system trying so hard to brainwash children? Does anyone remember the mini-series on television years ago called amerika. Kris Kristofferson starred in it with a few others. It’s about how the “new” school system manipulated school children in the classroom? This is what this reminds me of. This is about like hiding under your desk when they drop the bomb.

I hope the school officials don’t feel safe because, I’m guessing, a mass murder would sign a piece of paper too. I’d keep an eye on that little girl, you never know when she might pull out a banana and start pointing it at people too !!!
