The notorious liberal prankster Sacha Baron Cohen has been on a tear lately, shooting candid footage for what’s likely to be a new movie or comedy special.
Loads of conservative political stars have been fooled, including former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. (Sarah Palin Shreds Liberal ‘Comedian’ Over Fake Interview.)
But one gun shop owner wasn’t about to let Cohen pull a fast one on him. When the comedian/actor/provocateur showed up in his shop, he took immediate action.
Here’s how the proprietor, Norris Sweidan, described the situation: “He comes in, off the bat you can see in the video I’m looking like, this guy does not look like a Hungarian immigrant, tight ass leather pants, a beard, it just didn’t fit. The moment his words came out of his mouth I was like this guy is full of s***.”
That’s when things got intense. Sweidan continues: “I’m looking at the producer and I’m just like am I being fooled right here? And I just kept looking at the guy and I was like you’re Borat, as soon as I said that his eyes just looked at me like, and he did a turn right out the door.”
Sweidan and his fellow employees quickly encouraged the rest of Cohen’s crew to leave, with less-than-friendly language.

This episode reveals that Cohen really is something of a coward and even a fraud. A real comedian knows how to cool down situations like this. Instead, he fled. That shows extreme cowardice. It also shows that his shtick of fooling conservatives is coming to an end.
If you look closely at the footage, you’ll see that his costume was fairly elaborate. Yet he was spotted anyway and outed. That shows that right-wingers are on alert for Cohen. Plenty of current and former Republican politicians have rung the alarm about Cohen. Folks know he’s out there, trying to capture embarrassing footage.
It’s a good thing these gun store owners showed him who’s boss. Let’s hope people continue to call out this no-goodnik.
