Observers Noticed Something About Justice Ginsburg’s Collar – Trump Won’t Be Happy

Ruth Bader Ginsburg just can’t seem to hide her bias against Donald Trump, something that a Supreme Court justice should never express.

But the woman whose slanted commentary against Trump in the past earned her a nickname from the White House – ‘The Notorious RBG’ – was right back at it, sporting a “dissent” collar in response to last night’s election results.

Via The Hill:

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg appeared to be wearing her infamous “dissent jabot” on the bench Wednesday morning.

The move is being widely interpreted as a repudiation of Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election a night earlier.

Ginsburg typically wears the collar when issuing dissenting opinions in the court, as she explained to Yahoo News in 2014. But no opinions were read Wednesday.

The Notorious RBG garnered headlines this past summer when she blasted Trump as “a faker” before offering an opinion on his political expediency and tax returns.

The comments led House Speaker Paul Ryan to call Ginsberg “inherently biased.”

“For someone on the Supreme Court — who is going to be calling balls and strikes in the future, based upon whatever the next president and Congress does — that strikes me as inherently biased and out of the realm,” Paul said. “I think that’s something that she should not have done because I don’t think that that shows that she intends on being impartial in the future.”

Trump himself responded to Ginsberg’s comments calling on Ginsburg to resign and saying “her mind is shot.”

For her part, Ginsberg admitted that her bias was a mistake and apologized for her remarks, saying they were “ill-advised.”

Wearing a “dissent” collar in protest of our next President is also ill-advised and inherently biased.

It’s also a demonstration of why Trump’s election was so important – the Supreme Court needs to be stocked with clear-minded, impartial, conservative leaning judges.
