Disaster.
There’s no better word to describe Rudy Giuliani’s television appearances as of late.
The former New York City mayor, famous for ridding the Big Apple’s streets of criminal parasites, was tapped to be a part of President Trump’s legal team and to help with pushing back against the ongoing Robert Mueller Russia probe.
But, a string of misleading and confusing television appearances has Trump quickly growing tired of Giuliani and is threatening to keep him off of TV.
From the Daily Mail:
President Donald Trump is considering sidelining Rudy Giuliani from doing television interviews after the former New York mayor’s recent off-message media blitz.
The newest addition to the president’s legal team has given interviews which have included muddying the waters on hush money paid to porn actress Stormy Daniels.
Giuliani has also made claims that could complicate the president’s standing in the special counsel’s Russia probe.
Trump has begun questioning whether Giuliani, an old friend and former New York City mayor, should be sidelined according to two people familiar with the president’s thinking but not authorized to speak publicly.

Easily the biggest mistake Giuliani made was admitting that Trump compensated his lawyer Michael Cohen after he paid hush money to the former pornographic actress Stormy Daniels.
This is obvious, but still should be said: Giuliani’s reveal that Trump repaid Cohen $130,000 for hush money to Stormy Daniels renders the repeated denials to the American people from POTUS and his press secretary false and untrue.

That was bad enough. Now, Trump is being constantly pestered by Giuliani’s comments:

Giuliani dug himself a deeper hole this weekend during an interview on “This Week” where he admitted: “Cohen takes care of situations like this, then gets paid for them sometimes.”

This looks bad. If Giuliani doesn’t get it together, he should be kept off of TV. There’s no excuse for this sloppy behavior.
