Roseanne Barr deserves a big congratulations. It looks like her hit show will be here to stay.
Last week, the reboot of Barr’s 90s-era sitcom scored a huge win in the ratings. Despite starring a Trump-supporter as the lead role, the show debuted with nearly 20 million viewers – an unquestionable hit in the sitcom sphere. It was so big, that even President Trump called Barr to congratulate her.
But the real test came last night. It was the second week run for Roseanne’s show. After the initial hype, it was unclear if interest would still hold, despite Roseanne hyping the episode the day before.
Well, the numbers are in, and things are looking good for Barr and her fictional working-class family.
From Fox News:
ABC’s “Roseanne” reboot is still going strong in its second week, reeling in more than 15 million viewers for Tuesday’s episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The premiere of the highly-anticipated return of the Conner family drew just over 18 million viewers last week, and the network is likely pleased with the strong showing in week two.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the show averaged a 3.9 rating among adults in the key demo of 18 to 49 year olds with about 15.2 million total viewers on Tuesday.

Good for Roseanne! It’s so wonderful her show is a hit with the American people. The constant liberal platitudes present in so many other sitcoms were making TV stale.
After the debut, the ratings for the first episode of “Roseanne” were revised to 25 million. Look for a revision of the second week’s ratings to push the show upward as well. Those results should come in later this week.
