Speaking on CNN’s “The Lead,” the singer Linda Ronstadt said that President Donald Trump “is going to be like Hitler and the Mexicans are the new Jews.”
“I See Parallels Between Trump and Hitler’s Rise to Power”
Ronstadt told Anderson Cooper that “some of [her] family in Tucson are Republicans,” and that she does not want the Trump administration to “take [her] family relationships away.”
“The parts that were Republican were fairly rational Republicans. We don’t have that in the current White House,” she continued. Cooper remarked that Ronstadt had “read a lot about the Weimar Republic in Germany,” and that she sees “parallels between then and now.”
Ronstadt agreed, saying, “The intelligentsia of Berlin and literati and all artists were just doing their thing, and as Hitler rose to power, there were a lot of chances to stop him, and they didn’t speak out.”
The singer added:
“The industrial complex thought they could control him once they got him in office, and of course, he was not controllable. By the time he got established, he put his own people in place and stacked the courts and did what he had to do to consolidate his power, and we got Hitler. He destroyed Germany, destroyed centuries of intellectual history, forward and backward. People like Beethoven, Goethe, and Thomas Mann became jokes. They became Nazi laughing stocks.”

“Mexicans are the New Jews,” Says Ronstadt
Ronstadt said that anyone who “reads the history” won’t be surprised at what is happening now.
“It’s exactly the same,” she said. “You find a common enemy for everybody to hate. I was sure that Trump was going to get elected the day he announced. I said he’s going to – it is going to be like Hitler and the Mexicans are the new Jews. And sure enough, that is what he delivered.”
Ronstadt clearly has become yet another victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Like the rest of the liberal elites, she has drunk the leftist kool-aid, and seriously believes that President Trump is just as bad as the Nazis were, and will embark on some mass genocide against anybody who isn’t white.

The facts simply don’t bear this out – the President is not anti-semitic, or racist, or anything else that they accuse him of. The left simply cannot handle that they lost in 2016, nor do they understand that not everyone who disagrees with them is a white supremacist. Hopefully we have many more years of their freakouts to come!
