Romney Crushes Hillary and Harry Reid in Post-Fight Commentary

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney took part in a charity boxing match against heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield this past weekend. The match raised money for Charity Vision, an organization that provides medical care for low-income children who suffer from vision ailments.

While the fight as sport left much to be desired – Romney is 68 and Holyfield is 52 – Romney’s running commentary pre- and post-match was a sight to behold as he tore into Harry Reid and Hillary Clinton with some incredible jokes.

First, Romney took a shot at Hillary Clinton:

Romney also wise-cracked about Harry Reid’s inability to work a treadmill and various other exercise equipment:

After the bout, he also joked about Candy Crowley, a presidential debate moderator who famously came to the defense of President Obama, falsely, in 2012.

“I’m happy to fight anybody, so long as Candy Crowley isn’t the referee,” Romney said.

As for the bout with Holyfield itself, here’s how CNN described it:

For two rounds, Romney, 68, and Holyfield, 52, went head-to-head, each landing gentle blows that appeared more like a tickle fight than a boxing match. Although Holyfield took a tumble on the mat, Romney threw in the towel in the second round. The bout didn’t reach Foreman vs. Ali levels of sports history, but the sight of the last runner-up in the race for the White House dancing his way around a ring elevated it to must-watch status.

While Romney is typically painted as a stiff by the liberal media, the man does have a great sense of humor and is willing to poke fun at himself and others for a good cause.

What do you think of Romney’s jokes?
