Report: Secret Commandos With Shoot-To-Kill Orders Were At The Capitol On January 6th

A shocking report indicates that authorities were concerned about events being planned at the Capitol on January 6th - so concerned that elite teams of 'secret commandos' with the authority to shoot to kill were deployed that day.

A shocking report indicates that authorities were concerned about events being planned at the Capitol on January 6th – so concerned that elite teams of ‘secret commandos’ with the authority to shoot-to-kill were deployed that day.

Newsweek reports that on January 3rd, heads of a half-dozen elite government special operations teams met to discuss potential threats on the Capitol, a revelation never previously disclosed to the public.

Leadership in both the Justice Department and the FBI, they write, “anticipated the worst and decided to act independently” deploying the so-called “national” forces.

The basis for the move was actually a plan previously approved by former President Donald Trump giving law enforcement agents that make up ‘catastrophic response units’ sweeping authority to do whatever necessary in officials’ defense.

That included “shoot-to-kill authority.”

Commandos at the Capitol on January 6th

The immediate question that comes to mind – If the DOJ and the FBI “anticipated the worst” and deployed multiple teams of elite forces, how did a planned protest turn into a breathtaking breach of the Capitol on January 6th?

Jeffrey Rosen, the acting Attorney General on January 6th, unilaterally ordered the teams to be in place at the Capitol, a move unknown even to members of Congress, including those on the Select Committee investigating the riot.

Rosen testified in May before the House Oversight Committee that his department had been focused on “high risk” operations that day rather than “crowd control.”

Did entering the Capitol complex not constitute a “high risk” that should have been prevented rather than reacted to?

“I believe that DOJ reasonably prepared for contingencies ahead of January 6, understanding that there was considerable uncertainty as to how many people would arrive, who those people would be, and precisely what purposes they would pursue,” he told lawmakers.

The Big Question

“What was it that the Justice Department saw that provoked it to see January 6 as an extraordinary event, something that the other agencies evidently missed,” Newsweek asks their readers.

What didn’t they miss?

Elite teams of commandos couldn’t control a crowd at the Capitol and couldn’t determine the risk level of people entering the building where lawmakers were conducting certification of votes they found questionable?

The environment and heightened tensions surrounding those in the crowd didn’t concern them enough to at least try to stop something the media has labeled as an “insurrection” and the “worst attack” on the Capitol since the Civil War?

As the Daily Mail reports, the elite law enforcement teams “planned how to enhance security for then-Vice President Mike Pence and lawmakers attending a Joint Session of Congress to certify the 2020 election.”

It has since become apparent that those plans faltered from a preventative standpoint, with lawmakers having to be evacuated and a Washington Post report indicating that rioters “came dangerously close to Pence.”

One of the elite teams, according to the report, assisted law enforcement in securing Pence and his family in an underground area of the complex.

Another question that comes to mind is – What would the reaction be if news got out that the federal government had planted secret commandos at a Black Lives Matter protest?

Or that those commandos were given “shoot-to-kill” orders?

Do you think there’d be a lot more outrage today if that were the headline as opposed to their preparation to shoot Trump supporters at the Capitol?
