It’s about damn time an adult started talking.

For too long, we’ve let a rambunctious group of vulgar teenagers direct our so-called “national conservation” on gun-control after the deadly Parkland high school shooting. Not only have these teenagers maligned good law-abiding people of the NRA, but they’ve demonized their opponents, calling them everything from venal shills to child-killers.

And someone finally stepped up to put the little whippersnappers in their place. It was none other than Rep. Steve King!

He put Emma Gonzalez, one of the most outspoken Parkland activists, on blast:

🤦‍♂️

BOOM! King held nothing back, pointing out that while Gonzalez claims Cuban descent as part of her heritage, she seems to be taking the opposite approach her ancestors learned; that is, don’t let the government disarm the citizenry.

Looks like Gonzalez skipped history class to protest the Second Amendment.

After the expected liberal outcry of extreme rhetoric from people who demand Trump be impeached with scant evidence of criminal wrongdoing, a representative for King released a statement defending the meme.

Via the New York Daily News:

On Tuesday, a spokesman for King defended the meme, adding that it was posted by the Republican congressman’s campaign manager.

“The meme in question merely points out the irony of someone pushing gun control while wearing the flag of a country that was oppressed by a communist, anti-gun regime,” the spokesman told the Daily News. “Pretty simple, really.”

King didn’t stop there either. Around the same time he posted the meme, he also unleashed this brutal dose of logic over Twitter, referencing the student marchers who descended on Washington over the weekend to protest the Second Amendment:

Finally, someone said it! We’ve heard enough from these teenage activists about our hard-fought liberties and why they need to be abolished. It’s time to hit back with some good, old-fashioned common sense.
