Former WH Chief of Staff Reince Priebus Accused of Having a Mistress

The resignation of Reince Priebus as President Trump’s chief of staff came as a shock to the political world last Friday.

It was known that Trump wanted to shake up his Administration, especially in the light of all the recent leaks to the press that have undermined his presidency. The hiring of former Wall Street executive Anthony Scaramucci was the first step in laying the groundwork for a tighter, more combative White House.

Priebus objected to Scaramucci’s hire, and that set off a chain of events that led to the rumor that Priebus was a leaker, which eventually culminated in his leaving the White House. Now, with Priebus out, allies of Scaramucci are looking to drive the knife in further, spreading allegations of his misbehavior.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, a man named Arthur Schwartz professed to be a friend of Scaramucci, and spilled a heaping pile of dirt on Priebus. Check this out:

A man who has been quoted as Anthony Scaramucci PR rep continued the shame campaign against Priebus on Sunday by publicly accusing the ousted White House chief of staff of having an affair.

“Hey @Reince45. Oops; @Reince – you’re unemployed now. Keep pushing this crap & I’ll start dropping oppo on you. Mistress much, ?” Arthur Schwartz wrote in a tweet tagging Priebus’ handle.

In his message, Schwartz also retweeted a screenshot from a Huffington Post story detailing how Priebus had warned President Trump not to hire Scaramucci in the White House because Priebus feared Scaramucci might having compromising financial ties to China. Scaramucci joined the White House this month as its new communications director.

Schwartz later apologized for the tweet, and explained to CNN’s Jake Tapper that Scaramucci ordered him to cut off the attack.

The thing about rumors is that once they’re out, they don’t magically disappear. It looks like Schwartz unleashed a can of worms, and now everyone will remember Priebus’s brief tenure as chief of staff ending with accusations of infidelity.

What do you think about this rumor? Are you glad Priebus is out? What do you think of Scaramucci? Tell us your thoughts below and share this story on Facebook and Twitter!
