Poll: Majority Of Voters Think Kamala Harris Is Not Qualified To Be President

Poll Shows Majority Of Voters Think Kamala Harris Is Not Qualified To Be President

A new poll released on Tuesday showed that a majority of voters do not think Vice President Kamala Harris has what it takes to be president, if she ever had to assume the office.

Rasmussen conducted the new survey.

Harris Unpopular, Not Viewed As Competent

Rasmussen reported, “Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t improved her standing with voters, more that half of whom have a negative opinion of her and don’t think she’s ready to take over if President Joe Biden leaves office.”

“A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 39% of Likely U.S. voters have a favorable impression of Harris, including 19% who have a Very Favorable opinion of the vice president,” Rasmussen noted.

“That’s slightly down since August, when 41% had a favorable impression of Harris,” Rasmussen observed. “Fifty-seven percent (57%) of voters now view the vice president unfavorably, including 50% who have a Very Unfavorable impression of her.”

That latter figure is enormous. Especially if Harris thinks she can take the reins of the Democrat Party in 2024.

55 percent of U.S. voters “don’t think the vice president is qualified for the top job,” and 46 percent say she is “not at all qualified” for the duties of the presidency.

Rasmussen revealed that only 40 percent of voters think Harris has what it takes to become leader of the free world, including 23 percent who view her as “very qualified.”

The Poll Numbers By Party Breakdown

As for the party breakdowns, 76 percent of Republicans and 49 percent of unaffiliated voters think Harris is “not at all qualified for the job.”

Not surprising, 74 percent of Democrats believe Harris would be a quality president.

The report also states, “Among voters who think it is Very Likely that Biden will not complete his first term, only 24 [percent] consider Harris qualified to assume the duties of the presidency, while 70 [percent] think she is Not At All Qualified.”

The survey was conducted with 1,000 likely U.S. voters between December 5-6, 2021.
