Poll: Majority of Trump Voters Want Blue States To Secede And Form Their Own Country
A collaborative poll by the UVA Center for Politics and Project Home Fire indicates a majority of Trump voters think the political divide in America is so great that they’d support a move by blue states to secede from the union.
The poll indicates 52 percent of Trump voters lean towards secession as a solution to the political differences currently gripping the country.
Not much lower, 41 percent of Biden voters at least somewhat agree with the same sentiment.
Center for Politics director Larry Sabato writes, “Our new look at Biden and Trump voters with Project Home Fire features some alarming findings about the deep, wide, and dangerous divides between the two groups.”
Sabato notes that of the percentages above, 25 percent of Trump voters strongly agree that blue states should secede while 18 percent of Biden voters strongly agree that red states should go.
RED ALERT: 52% of Trump voters somewhat or strongly favor Blue States seceding to form a separate country. 41% of Biden voters want the Red states to do the same. (Strongly feel this way: 25% of Trump voters and 18% of Biden voters.) Please take a look at the report (link below). https://t.co/RsLGTCn8X2

Trump Voters: Blue States Should Secede
Aside from the findings regarding secession, the poll uncovers additional trends that they describe as “dangerous and alarming” regarding the state of democracy in America.
Both Biden and Trump voters show a large percentage willing to propose that the sitting President should have unilateral decision-making power without constraints from Congress.
A solid chunk – 46 percent – of Biden voters believe “it would be better for America if whoever is President could take needed actions without being constrained by Congress or the courts.”
The system of checks and balances is what decentralizes power from any individual or branch of government.
In all, according to this poll, 44 percent of Trump voters feel the same about the power of the President, a remarkable number considering who that would entail making unchecked decisions for the country at the current moment.

Rush Warned Country Was Trending Toward Secession
The late, great conservative radio icon, Rush Limbaugh, just two months before his death, warned that America appeared to be heading down a path where secession would become more popular.
Limbaugh, a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient and legend in broadcasting, observed that the nation is “trending toward secession” during a December broadcast.
“I actually think that we’re trending toward secession,” he said, originally discussing a cultural divide in the country. “I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York?”
“What is there that makes us believe that there is enough of us there to even have a chance at winning New York, especially if you’re talking about votes?” added Limbaugh.
Rush also stated that he had heard grumblings from others who believe “there cannot be a peaceful coexistence of two completely different theories of life, theories of government, theories of how we manage our affairs.”
This new poll seems to indicate that Biden and Trump voters are experiencing near irreparable, irreconcilable differences in how they view America.
