Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday that the House will move forward in drafting articles of impeachment against the President of the United States.
In doing so, Pelosi feigned concern for the country.
“Our democracy is what is at stake,” she claimed. “The president leaves us no choice but to act.”
Earlier in the day, President Trump laid down the gauntlet, urging Pelosi and the Democrats to ramp up the impeachment process so it can move on to a more legitimate trial in the Senate.
The President fired off an early-morning tweet, saying “if you are going to impeach me, do it now, fast, so we can have a fair trial in the Senate, and so that our country can get back to business.”
It would seem both parties want this to happen.
The Associated Press reported that Pelosi addressed the Democrat caucus Wednesday evening and asked, “Äre you ready?”
The response from a resistance party who have been anxiously anticipating the day when they could finally impeach President Trump responded with “a resounding yes.”

President Trump skewered Democrats on Twitter.
“The Do Nothing, Radical Left Democrats have just announced that they are going to seek to Impeach me over NOTHING,” he tweeted. “They already gave up on the ridiculous Mueller “stuff,” so now they hang their hats on two totally appropriate (perfect) phone calls with the Ukrainian President…..trial in the Senate, and so that our Country can get back to business.”
“We will have Schiff, the Bidens, Pelosi and many more testify, and will reveal, for the first time, how corrupt our system really is,” the president continued.
“I was elected to “Clean the Swamp,” and that’s what I am doing!” he finished.

Doesn’t Want The American People to Decide
By announcing the drafting of articles of impeachment, Pelosi is moving forward as swiftly as possible to stain the reputation of President Trump.
The AP reports: “Democrats are charging toward a Christmastime vote on removing the 45th president, a situation Pelosi hoped to avoid but which now seems inevitable.”
Alleging Pelosi had hoped to avoid all of this is to blatantly ignore reality. Despite her words and speeches, she has been forced into action ever since the Squad came on the scene and started running the show. And she’s been all-too-willing to placate that unhinged base – a base she is more concerned about than the majority of level-headed Americans.
“The weak response to these hearings has been, ‘Let the election decide,’” Pelosi said in a memo to her colleagues last month. “That dangerous position only adds to the urgency of our action, because POTUS is jeopardizing the integrity of the 2020 elections.”
Got that? Letting Trump get to the next election unscathed would be dangerous because the American people can’t be trusted with their vote.

RNC Responds
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel issued a statement slamming Pelosi for abusing the power of the House and trying to overturn the 2016 election.
“The Founders began the Constitution with ‘We the People’ for a reason,” McDaniel said. “Pelosi wants to negate the votes of 63 million Americans, all while denying President Trump due process. It is the ultimate abuse of power, and all the more reason why Republicans must take back the House and re-elect President Trump in 2020.”
Pelosi herself seems to agree.

On December 18th, 1998, as the House was set to impeach former President Bill Clinton for tangible and provable crimes of perjury and obstruction of justice, Pelosi railed against the process as being based solely on hatred for the sitting President.
“Today the Republican majority is not judging the president with fairness, but impeaching him with a vengeance,” Pelosi argued. “We are here today because the Republicans in the House are paralyzed with hatred of President Clinton, and until the Republicans free themselves of that hatred our country will suffer.”
It’s quite clear the Democrats now hold an undeniable hatred of our country, an undeniable hatred of this President, and an undeniable hatred of due process.
Republicans must never forget this day. If a Democrat wins the White House in 2020 or 2024 or any other year down the line, they must be harassed and investigated from the very day they set foot in the Oval Office.
