A Canadian pastor who went viral for demanding police officers checking for COVID compliance leave his church is sounding off on them yet again – suggesting they are acting just like Communists.

Pastor Artur Pawlowski became a sensation following a video in which he shouted repeatedly for Calgary police to leave Street Church in Alberta, Canada, as they followed up on reports that some attendees may not have been adhering to pandemic protocol.

Pawloski compared the police “storming” the church during a Passover celebration to “Gestapo.”

“Please get out, get out of this property, immediately get out,” the pastor told several police officers as they attempted to survey the scene.

“I don’t want to hear a word,” he continued shouting. “Out! Out! Out of this property immediately until you come back with a warrant, out.”

Canadian Pastor Calls Police Storming His Church Communists

The Calgary Police Service issued a statement defending their actions, insisting they were there to ensure “voluntary compliance” of COVID health orders “which are in place to ensure everyone’s safety.”

Pawlowski though, in an interview with the Daily Caller, blasted them for acting like Communists.

He suggested that had they simply contacted him to arrange a meeting there wouldn’t have been an issue, but the officers instead chose “a method of storming” on a Holy Day.

“I grew up in Poland under the boot of the Soviets, behind the Iron Curtain,” Pawlowski told the Daily Caller. “What I see right now, I see everything escalating and moving to the new level.”

“They’re acting just like the Communists were acting when I was growing up when the pastors and the priests were arrested, and some were murdered,” he added. “Many were tortured.”

History Repeating Itself?

Pawlowski said he sees the actions of law enforcement and health officials being an example of history repeating itself.

And he hopes his viral moment encourages others to stand up for their rights.

“I simply say, enough,” Pawlowski declared. “And I want – I hope – that this video that so many people are talking about will give courage to other clergymen and other business owners to kick those Nazis out.”

Pawlowski gave an update on the situation and said that he had not been fined or issued a ticket for the altercation – yet.

The Toronto Sun, however, reports that the pastor has “received numerous tickets during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The Independent calls Pawlowski “controversial,” while reports from almost exactly one year ago today indicate he was fined $1,200 by Calgary Police for allegedly feeding the homeless, an event which ran afoul of pandemic restrictions.
