Watch: Police Trying To Enforce COVID Rules Chased Out Of Canadian Church By Angry Pastor

A pastor at a Canadian church has gone viral after a video showed him yelling at police officers to get out of his church after they interrupted a Passover celebration to check compliance for COVID restrictions.

The officers were dispatched, according to Calgary Police, due to reports that attendees at the service at Street Church in Alberta, Canada, “were not adhering to the government’s COVID-19 public health orders.”

Pastor Artur Pawlowski wasn’t even vaguely having it.

“Please get out, get out of this property, immediately get out,” Pawlowski told six police officers as they stood just inside the entrance of the church.

“I don’t want to hear a word,” he continued shouting. “Out! Out! Out of this property immediately until you come back with a warrant, out.”

Pawloski continues by suggesting the officers are acting like “Nazis” adding, “Gestapo is not allowed here.”

“Do you understand English? Get out of this property,” he states, as officers finally motion to exit the church.

Canadian Church Pastor Wasn’t Having the COVID Police

The Calgary Police Service issued a statement defending their actions, insisting they were there to ensure “voluntary compliance” of COVID health orders “which are in place to ensure everyone’s safety.”

“In attending public spaces, private homes, and businesses, we continue to strive for voluntary compliance with public health orders where that makes sense,” they wrote.

Enforcing “voluntary compliance” – including in private businesses and homes – by sending law enforcement on-site is next-level Orwellian.

“Our rights are being taken away from us so quickly it’s unbelievable,” Pawloski said following the confrontation, urging viewers to “rise up” before Canada is immersed in a total lockdown.

“Passover, the holiest Christian festival in a year, and they’re coming to intimidate Christians during the holiest festival?” he complained. “Unbelievable … it’s beyond me.”

‘Obvious Tyranny’

James Coates, another pastor at a Canadian church, was jailed for over a month when he continued to hold services in February in defiance of Alberta’s Public Health Act.

“I realized that’s the way society is going to perceive what’s happening here,” Coates told a provincial court Judge at the time. “But] I’m simply here in obedience to Jesus Christ, and it’s my obedience to Christ that has put me at odds with the law.”

The matter prompted Fox News host Tucker Carlson to describe it as “obvious tyranny.”

Coates’ wife told Carlson that Canadians have had freedoms “slowly stripped from us” to the point that “we didn’t even realize it.”

“Is that the future you want?” Pastor Pawloski asked following his confrontation with the police. “Is that what you want for your children or your grandchildren?”
