Well, that escalated quickly.
This morning, we broke news that Omarosa Manigault Newman, the director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison, resigned, and would be out of the White House starting on January 20th, 2018.
The story, it seems, is falling apart right in front of our eyes. The real story behind Omarosa’s departure is turning into a ‘he said, she said’ affair, complete with drama and hysterics.
The Daily Mail has an exclusive report from a senior White House aide claiming that Omarosa left in a huff because President Trump supported failed Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. From the report: “Manigault is said to have left because of Roy Moore, an Alabama Republican accused of sexually assaulting and harassing teens. Moore was also hit with charges of racism after he said in unearthed remarks that everything after the 10th Amendment should be abolished. ‘After Roy Moore, enough was enough,’ the aide said.”
That story is being rightfully contradicted. First of all, Trump didn’t just endorse Roy Moore. He gave the former State Supreme Court judge his support last week. If Omarosa really had a problem with Trump backing Moore, she would have left before now.
Second, reporters on Twitter are pushing back against Omarosa’s assertion that she’s leaving on her own accord. Multiple sources are confirming that Omarosa was actually fired. And it looks like it was White House Chief of Staff John Kelly who did the dirty deed:
I heard there was drama and she was escorted out of the building and off campus

Sources say General Kelly did the firing and Omarosa is alleged to have acted very vulgar and cursed a lot and said she helped elect President Trump. The word is a General Kelly had it and got rid of her.

On Omarosa's exit: I just talked to sources who tell me Omarosa was let go yesterday and that she was escorted off of the White House grounds by security. They say she is now calling friends saying that she left voluntarily because her year anniversary was coming up.

Yikes!
That’s quite a different set of events. We don’t know the whole story yet, but given Omarosa’s penchant for speaking out, no doubt she’ll let us know more about what really went down in the White House.
What’s ironic is that, if it’s true that General Kelly fired Omarosa, it’s not the first time she was fired by Trump!
This is not the first firing for Omarosa from Trump!
