Omar, Radical Democrats Celebrate Victory On ‘Anti-Hate’ Resolution

After forcing Democrats to capitulate on a watered-down resolution condemning different forms of ‘hate,’ Rep. Ilhan Omar shared hugs with her colleagues on the House floor.

Omar also issued a statement celebrating the resolution as having made “great progress” over a “difficult conversation,” then mocked Meghan McCain and her father on social media.

Why wouldn’t she celebrate and rub it in the faces of her critics? Top Democrat leaders easily caved on the resolution, originally drafted to specifically condemn Omar’s repeated anti-Semitic tropes, watering it down to not mention her by name and drag in every other form of hate they could think of so it didn’t target her.

Party leaders even went so far as to belittle the experience of Holocaust survivors in an effort to protect the freshman congresswoman.

So with that … let the celebrating begin!

Hugs All Around

Heather Caygle, a reporter for Politico covering the House Democrat beat, observed Omar on the floor as her colleagues voted on the resolution condemning hate speech in the affirmative, 407-23.

The resolution was so watered down that Omar herself voted yes.

Caygle noted that Omar’s exchanges with other radical Democrats on the floor included a lot of laughter, a lot of hugs.

Must be nice to be a raging bigot and know full well the Democrats will have your back.

Mocks McCain

Omar issued a statement praising the resolution condemning “anti-Muslim bigotry.” She later retweeted a message that mocked the late Senator McCain and his daughter.

Meghan, co-host of ‘The View,’ made a tearful statement about Omar’s “very dangerous” anti-Semitic comments earlier in the day.

“It is very dangerous, very dangerous,” McCain said. “What Ilhan Omar is saying is very scary to me and is very scary a lot of people. And I don’t think you have to be Jewish to recognize that.”

An Al-Jazeera host blasted McCain and her father with a reprehensible smear that Omar shared with her followers:

“Meghan’s late father literally sang ‘bomb bomb bomb Iran’ and insisted on referring to his Vietnamese captors as ‘g–ks’. He also, lest we forget, gave the world Sarah Palin. So a little less faux outrage over a former-refugee-turned-freshman-representative pls.”

Now, remember all the outrage over Michelle Malkin’s CPAC speech which mentioned John McCain? Do you think the media will be equally as outraged with Omar?
