Ohio AG Investigation Reveals 2016 Instances of Voter Fraud

President Trump’s concerns over voter fraud may not be as far-fetched as the left would have you believe.

An investigation into illegal voting conducted by Ohio Attorney General Jon Husted has revealed hundreds of non-citizens were registered to vote, while dozens of them actually did cast a ballot in 2016.

The report doesn’t specifically mention which election the illegals voted in – whether presidential, state, or local – but it shouldn’t really matter. Voter fraud is a real and verifiable problem.

“The fact is voter fraud happens,” Husted said adding the caveat “it is rare and when it happens, we hold people accountable.”

He tweeted out the shocking results …

Via NBC 4:

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced an investigation has uncovered that hundreds of non-US citizens are registered to vote in the state, and dozens of them voted illegally.

According to a release from Husted, 385 people who are not citizens of the United States are registered to vote in Ohio. Out of those, 82 voted in at least one election in the last year.

Husted’s office says the 82 non-citizens who are registered to vote and cast ballots will be immediately referred to law enforcement for further investigation and possible prosecution.

According to the infographic Husted provided, 21% of those who were able to vote illegally because they were registered, did so. This highlights the concern in having non-citizens registered incorrectly. They aren’t just erroneous names on a list somewhere. They’re actively voting illegally.

The other troubling number is the rise in the number of illegal votes cast – from 17 in 2012, to 27 in 2014, and rocketing up to 82 in 2016.

The increase in the number of illegal votes from 2014 to 2016 is over 203%!

President Trump has been widely mocked by the media for demanding investigations into voter fraud.

It will be interesting to see how the media and Democrats react now that a thorough investigation has yielded results that support voter fraud claims.

Any illegal votes are troubling and Husted explains why.

“When you consider that in Ohio we have had 112 elections decided by one vote or tied in the last three years, every case of illegal voting must be taken seriously and elections officials must have every resource available to them to respond accordingly,” he said.

At least President Trump regards it as a serious matter.
