Ocasio-Cortez Says Trump ‘Directly Responsible’ For El Paso Shooting

In the wake of the El Paso, Texas shooting that left 22 people dead, Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said late Monday that President Trump‘s rhetoric on immigration was “directly responsible” for the tragedy.

The self-described socialist made these comments while speaking at a vigil in Brooklyn for the victims of both the incident in El Paso on Saturday and another mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday.

“I’m tired of the questioning if the president is racist. He is,” Ocasio-Cortez said in front of  told of about 500 people, according to the New York Daily News.

Ocasio-Cortez also blasted white supremacy.

Ocasio-Cortez Is Making Things Up About the President

“There are so many different issues that are weaving themselves into a braid of violence into our country. One of them is white supremacist terrorism,” she said, adding that “white supremacy is an international terrorist problem.”

AOC appeared to reference the New Zealand mosque shootings earlier this year that left over 50 dead.

“The comments from Ocasio-Cortez came after a weekend where mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton left at least 32 people dead,” notes The Hill. “The incidents have sparked discussions about the regularity of mass shootings in the country, as well as issues surrounding gun legislation and white supremacy.”

The suspect is El Paso is believed to have posted a racist manifesto online before carrying out his attack, including describing Hispanic immigrants who come to the U.S. as “invasion.” Ocasio-Cortez and others say such language is similar to Trump’s rhetoric.

Trump Condemned Hate and White Supremacy

President Trump condemn bigotry, hate and white supremacy during his comments on the tragedies on  Monday. He pledged that federal law enforcement would have his full support in battling any threats posed by white nationalists and domestic terrorists.

“In one voice, our nation must condemn bigotry, hatred and white supremacy,” Trump said in a at the White House. “These sinister ideologies must be defeated.”

It doesn’t get any clearer than that – and yet Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats have the gall to say the President is “directly responsible” for these awful attacks?

Maybe She Needs a Dictionary?

Does AOC understand what the definition of “directly” is?

Because even if, for argument’s sake, Trump’s words somehow inspired these shooters (and there’s no real evidence that this is the case), that would still be indirect responsibility.

Not that Democrats ever let the truth get in the way of a good Trump bashing. They will do anything and everything they can to demean and tear down this president.

This is but the latest despicable example.
