We hate to say ‘we told you so’ but if you’ve been an avid reader of The Political Insider, you know full-well we told you so when it came to Donald Trump’s victory on election night.

There were so many pundits and prognosticators who were wrong about the election, but one in particular brings us great joy in pointing out to our readers.

President Obama.

Obama, in his typical arrogant and condescending fashion, dismissed Trump several months ago as having no chance of winning the election.

“I continue to believe that Mr Trump will not be president,” Obama said. “And the reason is because I have a lot of faith in the American people.”

You were right to believe in the American people, Mr. President, and sure enough they made the right choice.

Watch Obama in all his mighty smugness below, then sit back and enjoy a smile over how wrong he was …

Via Infowars:

President Obama played a huge role in propagating major doubts over the possibility of a Donald Trump presidency.

In his trademark overconfident, often arrogant fashion, Obama attempted to reassure leftists in the nation that the big bad Donald Trump bogeyman would never become a presidential reality.

Now we can revel in the moments in which the outgoing Commander-in-Chief got it dead wrong.

During a visit with South-east Asian leaders in Rancho Mirage, California, in February, Obama said he felt Trump had no chance of occupying the Oval Office.

There’s more than the above clip however.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the president read a ‘mean tweet’ from Trump that said “Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States.”

Obama responded that “At least I will go down as a president” before simulating a mic drop.

And now, so will @realDonaldTrump.

Perhaps nothing captures how wrong Obama was more than this screenshot from CNN which shows the headline of the president predicting Trump will not win directly below the electoral count and a header that reads “Trump wins.”

Obama Trump

Wonder how that has to taste for a man who’s arrogance dictates that everything he says is right.
