Former Obama Official Slammed After Mocking Rand Paul

Paul

A former Obama official created a firestorm of controversy Wednesday after mocking Senator Rand Paul for the crime of being assaulted by his crazed neighbor.

The congressman had posted copies of letters confirming that FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the pair at the heart of a series of controversial, anti-Trump text messages, still had top security clearances, providing them access to “sensitive private information.”

The aforementioned text messages were so egregiously biased that Strzok, a key player in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s original Russia probe, had to be ‘reassigned’ after exchanging them with his girlfriend, Page.

Tommy Vietor, who served as a spokesperson for the U.S. National Security Council under former President Barack Obama, decided that was the straw that broke the camel’s back, launching into a verbal tirade against Paul and mocking him for being assaulted.

“You are a shameless hack and an idiot,” Vietor wrote. “Stop attacking public servants. Start doing a better job not getting beat up by your neighbor.”

Tommy Vietor Tweet Paul

Paul was violently attacked by Rene Boucher, a 59-year-old fellow doctor, who didn’t agree with the Republican congressman’s political beliefs, but claims the attack was more of a ‘property dispute.’ The assault left Paul with six cracked ribs and fluid buildup around his lungs. Boucher pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting a member of Congress in March and federal prosecutors have recommended 21 months in jail.

What Kind of Apology Is This?

Vietor, currently a co-host for the “Pod Save America” podcast alongside other former Obama administration staffers, deleted the tweet and issued what, in his mind, was an apology. The apology included the word ‘but’ and was then followed by calling Paul ‘hackish’ and ‘pathetic.’

Ah, projection. And irony.

We’re anxious to hear Vietor’s take on the Steve Scalise shooting. Perhaps next time he views Scalise as having done ‘Trump’s bidding’ the logical response would be ‘start doing a better job not getting shot at by random people.’

What a sick, twisted little man.

Is Tommy Vietor a complete jackass for these comments, or just a partial one since he issued an ‘apology?’ Share your thoughts below!
