The media is trying their absolute best to keep this information from you because it would expose former President Barack Obama and the entire journalism profession as the hypocrites they are.
A report in 2015 by the New York Times accidentally reveals the truth, however. (RELATED: Trump’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ Immigration Policy Isn’t New – Obama Did the Same Thing).
The Obama administration was cited by a federal judge for holding illegal immigrant children and their mothers in “widespread deplorable conditions, something officials admitted was designed as a means “to deter them (families) from coming to the United States illegally.”

Judge Dolly M. Gee, according to the report, “found that migrant children had been held in ‘widespread deplorable conditions’ … and she said the authorities had ‘wholly failed’ to provide the ‘safe and sanitary’ conditions required for children even in temporary cells.”
Wait … cells? They were held in … *clutches pearls* … cells?!
Not only were the held in cells with sub-standard, unsanitary conditions, but it was done intentionally as a deterrent.
“Homeland Security officials said they were detaining the families to send a message to others in Central America to deter them from coming to the United States illegally,” the report reads.
Were these DHS officials and border patrol agents called ‘Nazis’ by the liberal media back then? Of course not!
The point isn’t that separating children from parents is good policy. It isn’t. The point is that the Obama administration used detainment of women and children as a deterrent, and held them in similar conditions – and we didn’t hear Nazi comparisons. https://t.co/D4o4SEWXzi

In 2014, former DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson touted the detention centers as a means to deter border crossings.
Johnson did his best to let the media know they were ‘committed to detaining families,’ saying of the center: “I believe this is an effective deterrent.”
Recently, in decrying the Trump administration’s policy of separating families, Johnson said: “I freely admit that some of the things we had to do in 2014 were unpopular in certain quarters and controversial.”
The mothers and children, though kept together under Johnson and Obama’s tenure, suffered terribly according to advocates.
“Many women and children remained stalled behind bleak walls and fences month after month with no end in sight,” the Times reported. “Mothers became severely depressed or anxious, and their distress echoed in their children, who became worried and sickly.”
Where was the public outcry then? Where were the 24/7 media reports about how Obama hated illegal immigrants?
