Nikki Haley Unloads on Ilhan Omar For Claiming America is ‘Bullying’ Venezuelan Dictator

Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley slammed Rep. Ilhan Omar after the Minnesota Democrat blamed the current humanitarian crisis in Venezuela on America.

Omar claimed “policies that we [America] have put in place” are to blame for the crisis, adding that “bullying” Nicolas Maduro, the brutal Venezuelan dictator, “does not help.”

“A lot of the policies that we have put in place has kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela,” Omar alleged. “And we’ve sort of set the stage for where we’re arriving today.”

“This particular bullying and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change really does not help the people of countries like Venezuela, and it certainly does not help and is not in the interest of the United States,” she added.

That’s right – She thinks the man who is ordering military vehicles to run over protesters is being bullied.

Haley Unloads

Haley unleashed on Omar, noting that under Maduro’s brutal regime the people of Venezuela are starving, the children are suffering, and families are enduring untold pain.

“Your comments are so far from the truth,” Haley said in a direct tweet to Omar. “Cuba and Russia appreciate your support.”

Haley has supported President Trump and his administration’s recognition of Juan Guaidó as the President of Venezuela.

“The people of Venezuela have suffered far too long under Maduro’s dictatorship,” Haley said in February. “The region needs to continue to support the people of Venezuela by recognizing Juan Guaidó as President. No one should acknowledge Maduro’s desperation of trying to stay relevant.”

Omar Takes Sides AGAINST America

A congresswoman openly going against American foreign policy in Venezuela is surprising, but not unexpected in the case of Omar.

Omar has already sided with Maduro in claiming President Trump was initiating a “coup” in Venezuela.

Omar also put U.S. Special Envoy Elliott Abrams on blast, asking his opinion on whether the El Mozote massacre in El Salvador “was a fabulous achievement that happened under [the United States’] watch.”

Abrams responded “No,” to which Omar replied, “I’ll take that as a ‘yes.'”

Because America is always to blame in her eyes. And she loves communism.

In 2017, Omar took part in a travel delegation sponsored by ‘Witness For Peace,’ an organization formed to stop American intervention efforts in South America combatting the spread of communism.

Witness For Peace was formed in 1983 as a means to oppose President Ronald Reagan’s anti-communist policies in South America. They currently have close relations with communists in Cuba and stand firmly behind the devastating economic impact of socialism in Venezuela.

Because, as Haley suggests, she finds common cause with Cuba, Russia, and Venezuelan dictators.
