The New York Times columnist Charles Blow’s latest column suggests racist remarks by a Democrat Los Angeles City Council President indicate she was “doing the work” of white supremacy, while he openly worried about a new scourge in America – “Lite supremacy.”

LA Council President Nury Martinez was forced to resign from her leadership role last week after leaked audio showed her, along with other Latino council members, making openly racist remarks, some of which were directed at a white colleague and his black son.

Martinez had criticized the white council member for using his son as an “accessory” and “raising him like a little White kid.”

She also called Bonin’s son “ese changuito” – Spanish for “that little monkey.”

Martinez, who will reportedly keep her position on the city council, also slammed Los Angeles County District George Gascón saying, “F— that guy. … He’s with the Blacks.”

Charles Blow – Beware ‘Lite Supremacy’

Enter New York Times columnist Charles Blow, who somehow took the awful situation and worried that a Hispanic Democrat making racist remarks means America is now turning towards “lite supremacy.”

“Instead of allying with other disadvantaged groups, they diminished them. Their discussion was anti-Black, anti-Indigenous, anti-Jewish,” he wrote regarding the council president and her colleagues. “They were doing the work of white supremacy.”

Imagine living in a world where everything runs through a prism of racism before you can even manage a thought. A world where a Hispanic woman mocks a white colleague and calls their black son a “monkey,” and it’s actually “the work of white supremacy.”

Blow, not content to go from point A to point B and somehow conclude X, then coined a new phrase.

“It is a theory that worries me and that I have written about: that with the browning of America, white supremacy could simply be replaced by — or buffeted by — a form of ‘lite’ supremacy, in which fairer-skin people perpetuate a modified anti-Blackness rather than eliminating it,” he wrote.

Democrats Losing Hispanics

It truly takes a remarkably ignorant person to suggest that everybody who isn’t purely a certain shade of black will be racist in the new America and not recognize that it’s you who is the actual racist.

But then, that’s Charles Blow.

Blow, who is aptly named considering how poorly written his columns tend to be, continued to take aim at Republicans.

“The unfortunate reality is that anti-Black white supremacy is not confined to white people or to Republicans, even though they court it and coddle it,” said Blow.

Recent polls have shown Hispanics abandoning the Democrat party over concerns about the economy, crime and family values. So naturally, the media had to get out in front and label them “lite supremacists” too.

Over a handful of ignorant people mocking their white colleague.
