Never-Trumper Comstock Says GOP Voters In CO And GA Should 'Take Out The Trash'

Former Virginia Congresswoman and ‘Never Trump’ neoconservative Barbara Comstock wants GOP voters to oust America First Republicans Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene. 

The two-term Congressman from the DC suburbs of northern Virginia made her comments recently on CNN.

Comstock was reacting to a video of Boebert making an ill-advised joke that far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was a suicide bomber. Boebert has since apologized for her comments.

“Take out the trash”

On Boebert and Greene, Comstock stated,

“When you have this kind of just unconscionable attack—and it’s not just that she [Boebert] needs to apologize to the congresswoman who she attacked, she needs to apologize to the American people. She needs to apologize to the Republican Party and a lot of other people. It goes way beyond that.”

Comstock continued, “I’d also like to point out that she has a Republican opponent, Marina Zimmerman, who in response to [Representative] Adam Kinzinger pointed out Lauren Boebert is ‘trash.’ I would agree, and Marina Zimmerman said ‘help me take out the trash’ and that’s what I think needs to be done here.”

Comstock then took it a step further, promoting her own political action committees that are supporting candidates against Boebert and Greene: 

“I’m on two PACs that support Republican women who we specifically do not support Marjorie Greene or Lauren Boebert, and you know, even — those are very red districts, you’re going to end up with a Republican. You can have a conservative Republican woman without having a crazy, you know, very unpleasant, you know, nasty, you know, unconscionable congressperson who, by the way, neither of these women are getting anything done in Congress for their constituents. Zippo, nothing.”

Greene Says No Apology

While Lauren Boebert issued an apology for her comments, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) made it clear that she disagreed with Boebert’s apology, and that none would be forthcoming from her.

Never Trumpers Stick Together

It seems as though Never Trumpers think there is safety in numbers, and therefore tend to pal around together and have each other’s backs.

Comstock essentially echoed a statement by fellow Never Trumper Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) by calling Boebert “trash.” 

Back in May, during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Comstock attacked President Trump directly, claiming that Republicans don’t really support him anymore:

“I understand Republicans want to get away from Donald Trump. I mean, if Donald Trump disappeared tomorrow, I don’t think you’d have many Republicans in the search party, right? Maybe a few prosecutors, but not Republicans. So they want to get away from him, but the problem is he’s not going to go away.”

Trump wasn’t having any of it, calling Comstock a ‘RINO loser’ and taking on a host of other Never Trumpers.

“RINO Former Congresswoman Barbara Comstock of Virginia, who lost her race conclusively to someone she should have easily beaten, now goes around telling Republicans how to get elected. She had no problems being with me while in the Oval Office, or when she needed something.

She and other RINO losers like Mitt Romney, Little Ben Sasse, Lisa Murkowski, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and Karl Rover are what’s really wrong with the Republican Party, not the great MAGA Republicans, Conservatives, and Patriots!”
