WATCH: Nancy Pelosi Rails Against Republicans Just Days After Assassination Attempt

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi embodies the kind of vitriolic rhetoric that most are trying to distance themselves from in light of the Scalise shooting. It is hateful lies, repeated ad nauseam, that led to the recent tragedy at a Congressional baseball field earlier this week, in which Republican lawmakers were targeted for assassination.

Most are calling for political unity at a time of deep sadness in our nation. But, as one congressman remains in critical condition at a local hospital, Pelosi is ditching the warm embrace and is instead railing against her political opponents.

While Paul Ryan was delivering a moving speech in which he declared, “An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us,” Pelosi was condemning the notion that the clearly politically motivated terrorist attack would in some way hurt her party.

“How dare they?” she lashed out.

“This sick individual does something despicable and it was horrible what he did, hateful,” she added. “But for them to all of a sudden be sanctimonious as if, they don’t, never seen such a thing before …”

“I think that the comments made by my Republican colleagues are outrageous, beneath the dignity of the job that they hold, beneath the dignity of the respect that we would like Congress to command. How dare they say such thing? How dare they? Well I won’t even go into the whole thing. I can’t even begin, probably as we sit here, they’re running caricatures of me in Georgia once again, earned over a hundred million dollars of vitriolic things that they say, that resulted in calls to my home constantly, threats in front of my grandchildren. Really, predicated on their comments and their paid ads. So this sick individual does something despicable and it was horrible what he did, hateful. But for them to all of a sudden be sanctimonious as if, they don’t, never seen such a thing before. And I don’t even want to go into the President of the United States. But in terms of some of the language that he has used.”

Really? Really?!

Pelosi is trying to equate negative political ads to the kind of language coming out of Democrats since the election of President Donald Trump.

You know, like DNC Chair Tom Perez shouting that “Republicans don’t give a sh*t about people.” Or the California Democrat Party chair who yelled “f*** Donald Trump” to an adoring crowd which included Pelosi.

Or the constant messaging from the left that Republicans are evil – that they hate women, they hate the environment, they hate gays, or that they hate seniors and want people to die by taking away their healthcare.

All sentiments that the gunman heard over and over again on mainstream media outlets, and all sentiments with which, judging by his social media timeline, he genuinely agreed with.

That’s not the side you want to be on right now, Democrats.

Pelosi owes Republicans a sincere apology and her colleagues ought to immediately condemn her statements.
