Remember former CNN host Candy Crowley, the debate moderator who switched from the role of moderator to obedient liberal lapdog right in the middle of a 2012 presidential debate between Mitt Romney and President Obama?
Crowley interjected her own fact-checking into an argument in which she was ultimately proven wrong, derailing Mitt Romney who up until that point had been lambasting the President in the debates.
Well, it took three years and a charity event for Romney to finally take a crack at her over the famous debate debacle.
Romney is preparing for an upcoming charity boxing event in which he will be pitted against former world champ Evander Holyfield.
He appeared on Fox News with Neil Cavuto and quipped, “I can fight anybody, so long as Candy Crowley isn’t the referee.”

Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney suggested Tuesday he could put up a fight against boxer Evander Holyfield — who he will face as part of a charity event in May — as long as the referee isn’t the moderator of one of his 2012 debates with President Obama.
“I can fight anybody, so long as Candy Crowley isn’t the referee,” he said on Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto.”
CNN’s Crowley moderated a town hall debate between the two men shortly before Election Day in 2012. She famously corrected Romney when he claimed that Obama had waited to call the attacks on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, an “act of terror.”
During an exchange in which Romney argued that the President had failed to call the attacks in Benghazi an act of terror, she interrupted and claimed that Obama “did in fact … call it an act of terror.”
Crowley of course, was wrong. And she knew she was wrong, because she argued to the contrary weeks prior to the debate. There was little denying that she had done nothing more than throw Obama a lifeline on a topic that would have proven detrimental to his campaign.
