As the media began to portray Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 election, Michelle Obama called for unity while at the same time claiming that tens of millions of Trump voters supported “lies, hate, chaos, and division.”
Obama joined other top Democrats how have made similar comments, even as Joe Biden has tried to portray an image of unity.
Michelle Obama Congratulates Biden, Harris
The former First Lady joined the media in congratulating Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris on Tuesday’s election, saying she was “beyond thrilled for them,” despite a number of recounts and ongoing litigation over the results.
Thank you to all of you who poured every ounce of your hope and determination into this democracy over these past four years, registering voters, getting them to the polls, keeping folks informed. More votes were cast in this election than ever before. It’s because of you.

Michelle Obama then declared that despite the apparent result, the election was just “the beginning.”
“Voting in one election isn’t a magic wand, and neither is winning one,” she said.
She then turned her own call for unity into a backhanded attack on tens of millions of Trump voters.
“Let’s remember that tens of millions of poeple voted for the status quo, even when it meant supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division,” Obama argued.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do to reach out to these folks in the years ahead and connect with them on what unites us.”

Obama added that “every single vote must count,” as opposed to every legal vote.
“And as a country, we should be making it easier, not harder, to cast a ballot,” she continued.
We see now the reality that we can’t take even the tiniest part of our democracy for granted. Every single vote must count — and every single one of us must vote. And as a country, we should be making it easier, not harder to cast a ballot.

Michelle Obama isn’t the only top Democrat to continue to attack Trump voters, even as the Democrats have declared victory.
Lists Of Trump Supporters Created
Michelle Obama was joined in her attack on Trump voters by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC.
AOC suggested that people should “archive” the names of Trump supporters, so that they could be held accountable “for their behavior.”
Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future? I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future

Lol at the “party of personal responsibility” being upset at the idea of being responsible for their behavior over last four years
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) November 6, 2020
It comes as a website called the “Trump Accountabilty Project” was set up, supposedly to create a list of anyone who “took a paycheck” from the Trump administration.
“The world should never forget those who, when faced with a decision, chose to put their money, their time, and their reputations behind separating children from their families, encouraging racism and anti-Semitism, and negligently causing the unnecessary loss of life and economic devastation from our country’s failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the site claims.
Senator Elizabeth Warren also argued that the “systems” that “made [Trump’s] rise possible to begin with” should be “unrigged” and “rebuilt.”
It's not enough to just send Donald Trump packing, or even just to repair the damage he’s done.
We’ve got to unrig and rebuild the systems that made his rise possible to begin with, and that allowed his administration to hurt so many people in so many ways.

Warren didn’t elaborate on her claims, or exactly what “system” allowed half the country to vote for a major party’s presidential nominee.
Isn’t that system just called the Constitution?
Americans are free to vote for anyone they choose. They can even write-in any person they dream of, if they aren’t satisfied with the choices on the ballot.
So what is Warren talking about?
And what, exactly, does AOC plan to do with her “list?”
Contrast To Biden’s Supposed Call To Unify
This comes in sharp contrast to what Vice President Biden claimed he would do in his “victory” speech, claiming he would be a president who would “unify the country,” as opposed to President Trump.
“To make progress, we must stop treating our opponents as our enemy. We are not enemies. We are Americans. The Bible tells us that to everything there is a season — a time to build, a time to reap, a time to sow. And a time to heal. This is the time to heal in America,” Biden said.
And yet, top Democrats continue to make comments, demonizing Americans, and who they voted for.
