Michelle Obama paid a Christmas visit to Colorado’s children hospital and read “The Night Before Christmas” to the patients.
Michelle brought more than just light reading to her visit. She brought, apparently, her dancing shoes, performing a popular dance with the children.

This isn’t the first time the former First Lady felt the need to start dancing at what may seem like an odd time. During her time in the White House, Obama was known to incorporate her own bodily rhythms into traditional events that never featured such bursts of furious spontaneity. Michelle Obama promotes an addictive video game
Michelle was performing what’s called the “Orange Justice,” which is a dance from the popular video game Fortnite. The video game has over 200 million users. Its popularity has also brought something sinister to the fore: addiction.
Lorrine Marer, a British behavior specialist, compared to the game to “heroin.” The game is causing some parents to actually put their kids into rehab to ween themselves of their addiction to the game. Here’s how a Bloomberg report describes the Fortnite addiction epidemic:
Michael Jacobus, who works with kids suffering from video-game addictions, said about 60 percent of the 120 children he counseled at camps in Santa Barbara, California, and Asheville, North Carolina, last summer were playing Fortnite excessively. Treatment involves a technology detox — their devices are taken away — combined with healthy eating, sleep and group therapy. Next summer, he plans to work with more than twice as many kids, adding locations in Texas, Indiana and New York.
For someone who emphasized how kids need to exercise more, it’s awfully strange Michelle Obama is doing a dance from a game that’s reportedly causing mass lethargy.
The subtle jab at Melania Trump
First Lady Melania Trump also visited a children’s hospital the same day as her counterpart. Her visit, however, was much more subdued and classy, as is the First Lady’s style.
The coincidental timing didn’t go unnoticed. The Daily Mail reports that Michelle’s visit “overshadowed” Melania’s. For someone who claimed to hate the limelight of the Oval Office, Michelle Obama seems to still enjoy the publicity of being a first lady. But was Michelle’s visit really meant to overshadow Melania’s? We can’t be totally sure. However, there’s been an underlying feud going on between Michelle Obama and Melania Trump ever since Michelle complained that Melania never asked for help. Let’s just be grateful the children in both hospitals got a nice Christmas surprise just before the holiday.
