Sometimes, the Obamas simply can’t help themselves.
Rather than match the grace and poise with which George and Laura Bush did for them when they exited the White House, Barack and Michelle can’t resist the temptation to comment on the new administration.
Any time it happens, they invariably make a snide comment about President Trump.
The former First Lady’s appearance at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in California was no different.
Obama somehow managed to pivot from a conversation on the tech industry to an undressing of the President regarding ‘global warming’ and illegal immigration.

Obama closed the talk by taking a not-so-subtle jab at President Trump.
“We are at a time in this country where we need problem solvers out there … who believe in the power of immigrants, believe that global warming is real,” she said. “We need people out there who are operating with a level of empathy.”
Then Obama left the stage, walking out to “Best of My Love” by The Emotions … only to be stopped by Tim Cook, who ran onstage to offer a hug and snap a selfie.
Well done Apple, invite a guest to trash the current President and respond by running out on stage like an adoring 12-year-old boy band fan, posing for selfies.
As is the norm with Democrats, Obama conflates the concept of immigration, which is legal, with that of illegal immigration, which as its name implies, is not.
Aside from that, why take a swipe at a non-political event?
Perhaps Michelle is simply upset with Trump over the fact that he’s been gutting her ridiculous federal school lunch regulations which have left school children pining for real food on a daily basis.
Maybe she’s just a hypocrite, decrying the President for improving border security and declaring that Americans “don’t build walls to keep people out,” while actually building a wall to keep people out.
Whatever the reason may be, it’s clear that Trump is, and has been, constantly on the minds of the Obamas. The former real estate mogul lives rent free in their heads.
