Michael Moore Calls for Starbucks Boycott After Howard Schultz’s 2020 News

Liberal director says we must 'outlaw' billionaires because they are 'immoral'

Michael Moore is not happy that former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz might run for president in 2020 as an independent.

He’s so unhappy, in fact, that he’s calling for a boycott of Starbucks.

Moore is particularly unhappy that the potential presidential candidate describes himself as a “self-made billionaire.”

And during an appearance on Thursday night’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Moore went after him for this.

“Right away, by admitting that you had subsidized public housing paid for by the tax dollars of the American people, you aren’t self-made. You got a hand-up from us like we wanted it,” the filmmaker said about Schultz’s growing up in a housing project in New York.

“We want to help our fellow Americans. It’s a form of socialism, public housing, and yet he’s saying, ‘I’m all self-made.’ He went to public university, he went to Northern Michigan University, actually, and you know, again, financed by taxpayers’ dollars. And he sells coffee, which is essentially water using city water systems, municipal water systems … You got to be a billionaire because we’re paying for the water!”

The “Fahrenheit 11/9” director then called for people to stop going to Starbucks “until he [Schultz] announces he’s not running.”

He even suggested setting up “lemonade stand” tables that sell coffee outside of Starbucks.

Moore added that America should “outlaw” billionaires and that their existence is “immoral.”

If people were to actually follow Moore’s silly protest of Starbucks, it would not hurt Schultz — a man who has enough wealth to last multiple lifetimes.

It would hurt hard-working Americans who rely on that business to be profitable so they can earn their paychecks each and every week. In his suggestion for a protest, Moore shows how truly disconnected he is from working people — and how little he cares for their positions.

It’s amusing to see how frightened liberal celebrities are of a third-party candidate’s potential entry into the 2020 race.

The way they’ve so quickly ganged up and gone after Shultz shows that people like Moore are not for “choice.” They are just shills for the Democrat Party who are showing their true colors right now.
