Meghan McCain Torches ‘National Disgrace’ NYC Mayor de Blasio And Millennials For Response To Coronavirus

Bill de Blasio is a complete joke of a mayor who has hurt New York City in myriad ways.

On Tuesday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” Meghan McCain spoke out to blast New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio as well as millennials for their response to coronavirus, claiming that they are not taking the outbreak seriously enough.

“You’re having Bill de Blasio going to the gym at the same time that New York gyms are being shut down,” she said.

This came after de Blasio was hit with backlash when he was spotted at a gym on Monday morning, even though the state’s governor had ordered all gyms to close by 8:00 p.m. that day, according to Fox News.

“There’s something wrong in the world where this kind of very small matter gets blown up like that by people, you know, who live in a world of public relations,” de Blasio said as he tried to defend himself. “I don’t live in that world. I live in the regular world.”

“Yeah, de Blasio,” McCain said as she slammed him, “I live in the real world too and it looks pretty scary right now so maybe lead by example.”

McCain had also panned de Blasio on Twitter the day before, writing, “DeBlasio is a national disgrace and easily the worst NY mayor in modern history. What an absolute joke – completely selfish actions during this time of crisis. He SHAMES our city!!”

On today’s show, McCain went on to say that she was “furious” with millennials who have had the “hubris” to ignore calls to practice social distancing due to the virus.

“I’m technically a millennial but I don’t relate to this generation at all right now,” she lamented.

McCain is spot on once again here. Bill de Blasio is a complete joke of a mayor who has hurt New York City in myriad ways. The fact that he went to the gym in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak as the mayor of the city should be the nail in his coffin that causes New Yorkers to vote him out of office.

The behavior of millennials over the past few days has also been disturbingly selfish. Since younger people aren’t typically as affected by coronavirus as the elderly, many millennials have decided to try and continue living their lives as they normally would instead of being considerate of the fact that they can still give the virus to people it could kill.

Shame on de Blasio, and shame on the smug millennials who think the rules surrounding the coronavirus response do not apply to them.
