Meghan McCain And Joy Behar Go At It Over Jim Jordan’s Fight With Fauci

Things went off the rails once again on the ABC talk show “The View” on Friday as cohosts Meghan McCain and Joy Behar went at it over the fight that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) got in with Dr. Anthony Fauci in front of Congress yesterday after the Republican asked him when Americans will “get our liberties back.”

After seeing the footage of his comments, McCain defended the entire Republican Party, explaining that it is in their DNA to stand up to authority.

McCain Sounds Off

“We think big government is bad,” McCain said, according to Decider. “We do not think just bending the knee to big government overlords is the answer to everything.”

‘That is an innate philosophical difference between Democrats and Republicans,” she added. “And I think unfortunately, the virus and the vaccine have become really politicized, but to lay the blame at the feet of Republicans is just intellectually dishonest.”

This did not sit well with Behar.

“Listen, I know there’s a difference between the two parties, but why blame Fauci? Your argument is against government, not Fauci. He’s just a scientist who’s trying to do his job,” Behar said, cutting McCain off when she tried to respond.

McCain Attacks Newsom

At another point in the episode, McCain went off and ranted against Democrats like California Governor Gavin Newsom.

“I think it’s easy to just say Republicans are being contrarian,” she said. “In California, when you look at the draconian lockdowns that Gavin Newsom took to such an extent that have absolutely savaged small business owners.”

Not stopping there, McCain referenced a viral video of a woman in front of her bar, which was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, crying while a movie films on the street outside of her business.

“You’re telling me that’s not political?” McCain said. “Because it was more important, according to Gavin Newsom, to have movies open than small bars and small businesses at the same time that he’s going and eating with his friends at the French Laundry inside, not wearing masks?”
