Matt Gaetz Introduces Legislation To Stop China Profiting Off Coronavirus Bailout

Representative Matt Gaetz has introduced legislation to stop China from profiting off the coronavirus bailout package that Congress is trying to pass.

Gaetz: “Every Single American Worker Should be Fully Compensated Before One Nickel Goes to China”

Gaetz introduced the “No CHINA (Chinese Handouts In National Assistance) Act,” which would block any business that is owned by the Chinese government from getting any funds from the coronavirus bailout before Americans do.

“Every single American worker displaced by COVID-19 should be fully compensated, before one nickel from our treasury goes to Chinese-owned corporations operating here in the United States. Full stop,” Gaetz said in a statement. “The global coronavirus pandemic has been exacerbated by the Chinese government’s malicious misinformation and propaganda campaign against the United States and its citizens. Allowing American taxpayers’s money to go to companies owned by the Communist Chinese government is antithetical to our ‘America First’ agenda.”

Gaetz added that Taiwanese business owners would be exempt from his legislation, especially given how criticial the Taiwanese authorities were on the Chinese Communist Party’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.

This is Obvious Legislation – Let’s Get it Passed

“Raddison Hotels, AMC Movie Theatres, even the Waldorf Astoria in New York, are controlled by China, in essence, and I think we ought to restore every American worker and every American small business before borrowing money from China so that we can then give it to China so that we can then pay China back with interest after the Chinese Virus,” Gaetz told Tucker Carlson on his show on Fox News. “That seems like a foolish thing that a great nation would never do. I’ve introduced legislation to block bailouts to corporations that are controlled by China – it’s so obvious, I can’t believe it’s not the law already.”

This is a piece of legislation that I can firmly stand behind. Gaetz, in my opinion, has always been one of the best representatives, and this bill has only put him up in my estimation. As he said, it’s so obvious that the American taxpayer should not be giving a single cent to China before American workers and American businesses have been taken care of. It’s their fault that the virus has become so widespread and caused so many deaths across the world, not just in America, and they must not be rewarded for their incompetency and malevolence.
