Religious liberty still exists in America!
Moments ago, the Supreme Court made a monumental decision regarding the free exercise of religion in America.
Masterpiece Cakeshop is a bakery run by Jack Phillips in Colorado. Phillips is a pious Christian man who refused to design a cake for a same-sex wedding ceremony due to his strongly held beliefs.
His potential customers, rather than patronize another bakery in the area, quite literally made a federal case out of the snub and took Phillips to court.
Now the Supreme Court has rendered a verdict in the case of whether or not a Christian baker has to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding ceremony.
SCOTUSblog, an influential group blog covering the Supreme Court, just broke the big news:

Politico has more details:
The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of a Christian baker in Colorado who refused to make a custom cake for a same-sex couple, but the court punted on spelling out how far the government can go to prevent sexual-orientation discrimination in the marketplace.
Writing for the court’s majority, Justice Anthony Kennedy said the Colorado Civil Rights Commission violated the baker’s rights by showing “hostility” to his religious beliefs in a proceeding in which he was found to have violated the law and was ordered to anti-discrimination training.
Ever since the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage in 2015, we knew this fight was coming. Emboldened by the legal victory, the liberal lobby was pushing hard to force Christian businesses to accept gay marriage an unquestioned good.
This ruling restores balance to a point where everyone should be happy: Not only do homosexual individuals maintain the right to marry, religious individuals, including orthodox Christians, Jews, and Muslims, maintain the right to practice their faith in public life without violating their conscience.
In December, we reported that the Supreme Court was leaning towards upholding the religious liberty of Jack Phillips. (RELATED: Supreme Court Leaning Towards Christian Baker in Case Over Gay Wedding Cakes). Thanks to President Trump appointing an ardent conservative Supreme Court justice to the bench, the right to uphold your religious values in your business was upheld.

thats great i hope this verdict allow the bakers from portland oregon to reopen their business and sue for return of the money they were fined and forced to pay the gay couple they refused to make a wedding cake for!
It’s a great decision because it protects the Baker’s rights to serve and do what he wants with his business. The Groom ofnthe couple admitted that they carried this complaint to the extent they did to raise awareness for the gay community rights. I really dislike people that attempt to make a point at the cost of someone else’s livelihood.
Here comes the civil suit…
Colorado now has to refund any fines, with interest, that have been paid to them. The homos should be required to pay ALL legal fees. This will now become a very popular bakery. I love a great ending.
Me too Larry! It would be great if the baker sued them & they had to reimburse all his legal fees.
Not much good news out there today, but this definitely is; thanks to the SC for a display of common sense and protection of the Constitution.
YES YES YES !!!!!!!!!!!!
What was the vote tally?
Mathies2: The vote was 7 – 2!
GOOD! THEY Knew thew were wrong!
The two dissents were Ruth Batty Ginsburg & Sonia Sotomayor. Ginsburg thinks the age of sexual consent should be 12 if that gives you any indication of how depraved she is.
It should not apply to muslims if you read the quran you know that everyone who does not convert to the islam must be killed and that woman have no rights. the islam is no religion but a cursed cult. If the Americans have brains they should forbid that ideologie which supports pedophiles which kills the lifeof you girls forever do you wish to tolerate that as a religion?
.I AGREE WITH THE SCOTUS. THIER ARE OTHER BAKERS. THE LGBT IS GOING TO PUSH NON ISSUES TILL AND SHOVING THIER NON ISSUES DOWN PEOPLES THROATS UNTIL THEY ARE BLASTED BACK TO THE PRE STONEWALL AGE. REMEMBER ANITIA BRYANT.
Next they will want to Force us to become homosexual.
As iit should be!! Why can’t these same sex couples just go to a different bakery? Why drag this BS through the court system? Why can’t they live and let live? Why do they insist on ushing their same sex stuff on Christians? I do not see Christians pushing their pont of views on the same sex couple. Of course in some cases they may push but not in the majority and the Christians don’t seem to drag the same sez couples through the court system!!
law and order and justice for all has prevailed: Glory to Almighty God as we continue to keep our good President in our daily prayers without fail
