Eugene Huelsman, a man who allegedly issued death threats to congressman Matt Gaetz just days after the Capitol riot, has been arrested.
Huelsman was indicted on one felony count of making a threat to injure.
Federal prosecutors claim the man called Representative Gaetz’s (R-FL) office just three days after the riot telling him to “watch his back” and “watch his children.”
“I’m coming for him, he’s gonna f***ing die … I’m gonna f***ing kill him … Watch your back, I’m coming for you. I’m gonna put a bullet in you and I’m gonna put a bullet in one of your f***ing kids too,” Huelsman allegedly said on voicemail.

Man Who Made Death Threats Against Matt Gaetz Arrested
Eugene Huelsman was indicted in May in the Northern District of Florida regarding the alleged threat, but authorities couldn’t track him down.
A judge sealed the indictment until he could be apprehended according to court documents reviewed by Fox News.
Still, Gaetz couldn’t help notice that the arrest comes just a day or two after he publically called out the Justice Department for not having taken action on alleged death threats.
“I think someone may be trying to kill me and if they are successful I would like my constituents and my family to know who stopped their arrest,” Gaetz said on the House floor last Wednesday.

Man Arrested For Extortion
Politico reports that the incident described by Gaetz on the House floor is actually separate from the actions which led to the arrest of Eugene Huelsman.
But, he believes, this latest action was spurred on by his public comments.
“An indictment was issued in May, and has now been unsealed the week after my criticism,” Gaetz said.
“If they took our security seriously, they would arrest all of the people who violate federal law and the threats to kill us, not just some of them,” he continued. “I think that the Department of Justice is biased against Republicans.”

Fox News reporter Kevin Corke indicates Huelsman has worked in media as a camera operator for ABC, NBC, and CNN.
Politico notes that he “has worked for decades as a camera operator on film and television productions, garnering five Emmy nominations for his work on NBC’s ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien.'”
In September, a Florida man was arrested for trying to extort Gaetz’s family, a scheme he revealed in March.
“What is happening is an extortion of me and my family involving a former Department of Justice official,” he told Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
“On March 16, my father got a text message demanding a meeting wherein a person demanded $25 million in exchange for making horrible sex trafficking allegations against me go away” Gaetz claimed.

The extortion claims were so outrageous that several media outlets covered them from an angle of mockery.
That is until Stephen Alford was arrested in August.
Huelsman meanwhile has been released on a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before a magistrate judge in Pensacola on Friday.
