Kayleigh McEnany, the former White House press secretary of Donald Trump, spoke out on the Fox News show “Outnumbered” this week to rip into CNN host Don Lemon for his “insidious” attack on parents that are against critical race theory being taught to their children in schools.
McEnany Shuts Down Lemon
McEnany fired back on the Fox News program that she cohosts after Lemon said that parents who aree against teaching critical race theory were showing their “privilege.”
She defended these parents, pointing out that these parents may not want their children being taught that they’re either oppressed because they are Black or an oppressor because they are White.
“You have to be privileged and you don’t want your pleasant life interrupted if you’re opposed to critical race theory. No, Don!” McEnany said.
“Maybe you’re a father like Ty Smith who doesn’t want your little son or daughter to be taught that they are oppressed, that they will have to navigate a systemically racist country that is at its core rotten,” she continued, referring to the Black Illinois father who was seen in a viral video blasting critical race theory.

McEnany Doubles Down
Not stopping there, McEnany also argued that a White father or mother might also not approve of their child being taught that they are an oppressor because they’re white.
“And when it comes to painting with a broad brush, I’m sick of Don Lemon telling me who is opposed to critical race theory and who isn’t. I’m sick of him telling me that Trump voters are rude … Get rid of that broad brush, Don, because it’s not working for you, and it’s insidious, and it’s tearing us apart,” McEnany said.
Smith also went on Fox News to double down on his thoughts on critical race theory.
“To me it’s a whole bunch of nonsense, virtue signaling, playing off people’s emotion. The only race there is the human race,” he said, adding that “color was never discussed in his house at all.”
“How do I have two medical degrees if I’m sitting here oppressed?” Smith asked. “How’d I get where I am right now if some White man kept me down?”
