Kayleigh McEnany Delivered A Brilliant Response When Asked About Trump Attending Biden’s Inauguration

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s quick wit was on full display when she was asked by Fox Business’ Stuart Varney about Trump’s plans to attend Biden’s inauguration next January. 

McEnany said that President Trump will attend his own inauguration in January, after having emerged as the victor of the 2020 election.

McEnany: “We’re Talking January… Litigation Is The First Step”

Varney asked McEnany if she was “prepared to say that President Trump will definitely attend the inauguration” of Joe Biden, who the mainstream media have declared is the president-elect.

“Again, that’s many steps away here,” McEnany replied. “We’re talking January, and President Trump believes he will still be President Trump, and have a second term. Litigation is the first step, and we’re many steps away from that.”

“It would look pretty bad if he did not attend the inauguration,” Varney responded. “It would look like sour grapes wouldn’t it?”

McEnany replied that the President would be attending his own inauguration in January – “he would have to be there in fact!”

McEnany’s comments echo those of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Pompeo Gave A Similar Classic Reponse

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gave a similar silver-tongued rejoinder in response to questions about a “smooth transition.”

Pompeo was taking questions from journalists at a press conference, and was asked whether the State Department was “currently preparing to engage with the Biden transition team, and if not, at what point does a delay hamper a smooth transition, or pose a risk to national security.”

“There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration,” Pompeo replied, cracking a wry smile.

“We’re ready. The world is watching what’s taking place,” he continued.

“We’re going to count all the votes. When the process is complete, there’ll be electors selected. There’s a process. The constitution lays it out pretty clearly.”

McEnany Says Legal Suits Deserve To Be Heard

McEnany’s comments come after her appearance on Mark Levin’s show Sunday, where she gave an update on the ongoing litigation regarding vote counts and the election. 

McEnany told Levin that the election was far from over.

She critiqued the numerous Secretaries of State, such as with Secretary Boockvar of Pennsylvania, who Team Trump has alleged allowed the protections of the election to be ignored or bypassed.

Two days before Election Day, Boockvar issued guidance telling voters that they had until November 12th to provide proof of identification if they had not done so when they voted.

This was another three days from the previously given deadline, and six days after the deadline for ballot acceptance. A judge ruled last week this order had been unlawful.

Boockvar and others in her position “were consistently misrepresenting their opinion, changing deadlines, designing a system to prop Democrats and Joe Biden,” McEnany argued.

She added that those who have made allegations of election fraud “deserve to be heard.”
