In bizarre video on Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris was asked if she plans to visit the southern border as the crisis continues to mount there.

Harris responded and also belted out loud laughter, causing her facemask to start slipping.

The VP was in Florida, promoting the $1.9 trillion COVID bill.

Intentional Or Not, Harris Laughs In Her Reply

A reporter asked Harris, “Do you plan to visit the border?”

“Um, not today,” Harris said, then laughed forcefully. “But, um, I have before and I’m sure I will again.”

The question comes in the wake of leaked photos reported by multiple news outlets that showed migrants, many minors, crammed together in small spaces in holding facilities.

Axios and Fox News also reported that border officials were authorized to begin releasing illegal border crossers into the U.S. without assigning a court date.

Washington Post: Biden Admin Was Aware Of Dangers At The Border

On Saturday, the Washington Post ran a detailed report on how the border crisis has unfolded.

The Washington Post reported, “The warnings began before Biden even took office.”

“During the transition period, career officials at U.S. Customs and Border Protection tried to issue sober alarms to the Biden team about the likelihood of a crisis at the border that could quickly overwhelm the nation’s capacity,” the Post reported.

WaPo continued, “Senior CBP officials delivered Zoom briefings to the Biden transition team that included modeling projections showing a steep increase in the arrival of unaccompanied minors if Trump’s policies were suddenly lifted, according to one current and two former Department of Homeland Security officials.”

“Biden transition officials understood the risks, as well, identifying a surge of unaccompanied minors and a dearth of shelter space exacerbated by the pandemic as the most pressing problems,” the story noted.

Next, the news outlet’s reporting demonstrated how even though the Biden administration appeared to be thoroughly warned about a potential crisis, the new president seemed more gung-ho on overturning Trump’s policies despite the dangers.

Biden Seemed More Interested In Overturning Trump Policies

The Washington Post reported, “Yet Biden immediately embarked on an aggressive strategy to roll back Trump administration policies.”

“On his first day, Biden suspended border wall construction, affirmed protections for young immigrant ‘dreamers,’ scrapped Trump’s ban on travel from seven majority-Muslim countries, and ordered a 100-day moratorium on deportations by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement,” the story noted.

“He also sent a broad immigration overhaul proposal to Congress, including an eight-year pathway to citizenship for immigrants without legal status,” WaPo reported.

What is absolutely certain is that the border crisis is no laughing matter.
