Joy Villa, Ricky Rebel Display Their Pro-Trump Views on Grammys Red Carpet

Joy Villa continued her trend of wearing memorable and conservative dresses to the Grammy Awards on Sunday — and her friend Ricky Rebel (real name Ricky Godinez) joined her in representing the views of the Right.

Villa showed up on the red carpet dressed as the border security wall proposed by President Donald Trump.

She wore a striking silver dress and had fake razor wire on her shoulders as well as spikes coming out of her hair — as the president has proposed coming out of the border wall.

She also carried a red purse that boldly read, “Make America Great Again.”

Villa has voiced her support often and strongly for the president and a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

On January 10 of this year, she notably tweeted, “Nancy Pelosi & Chuck Schumer are willing to let drugs, sex traffickers, and criminals pour into our country stealing resources from impoverished black Americans. I will not cave. I will SUPPORT REAL Border Security. I SUPPORT THE WALL!”

This is the third year in a row Villa has represented conservatism with her dress at the Grammys.

In 2018, she wore a pro-life dress with a hand-painted image of a baby in a uterus that read, “Choose Life.”

And in 2017, she received massive amounts of attention for her “Make America Great Again” dress, the first time she ever publicly showed support for President Trump.

This year, she was not alone in supporting the president at the red carpet.

Ricky Rebel showed wearing a “Keep America Great” jacket with the word “Trump” on the back and “2020” on the sleeves.

The phrase is President Trump’s 2020 campaign slogan.

Rebel’s jacket was also designed by Andre Soriano, who is pro-Trump himself and a Filipino immigrant, as USA Today’s Carly Mallenbaum pointed out.

Rebel, who is bisexual, explained his support for the president at the red carpet to a USA Today reporter.

“I voted for Trump because I wanted to help the economy boom, and now it’s booming,” he said.

“I’m thankful for that. I get that not everybody loves him, but it’s OK if you voted for him — even if you’re gay or black or a woman.”

He added, “I just love America and am very grateful for the opportunities that America has given me.”
