Vice President Mike Pence’s Chief of Staff Josh Pitcock has officially resigned from his position. A former Pence aide is expected to take his place.
It is being described as a voluntary departure. Pitcock worked for Pence for 12 years and will be replaced by Nick Ayers, a Republican operative from Georgia. Ayers also served as Pence’s chief political strategist during the presidential campaign.
As the liberal New York Times first reported:
More recently, Mr. Ayers has been one of the leaders of an outside group supporting the White House, America First Policies, which had been preparing a series of ads criticizing Senator Dean Heller, Republican of Nevada, for his anticipated no vote on the Senate’s bill to replace the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
Mr. Pence, whose portfolio in the Trump White House is still developing, has told allies he would like to return to a system similar to what was in place during the campaign, when Mr. Ayers not only helped to keep Mr. Pence focused on bigger-picture themes as his strategist but also managed staff-related issues.
Ayers was also the executive director of the Republican Governors Association for four years, and helped many states win major Republican statehouse victories. His outside organizations have also helped Senators Tom Cotton (R-AK) and Ted Cruz (R-TX).
Most recently, he ran America First Policies, which ran powerful pro-Trump ads such as this one (below) against Senators not supporting the repeal of Obamacare. The ads against Nevada Sen. Dean Heller ran for 12 hours before being pulled:

Pulled by whom? The AGITPROP MEDIA? This is a disgrace. A sitting US Senator should be able to run any ad he wants for however long he wants, so long as it is not p0rn0gr@ph!c or threatening physical violence. The media owes them the dignity of their office.

When will Obamacare collapse? Everybody says soon, but when? Once Obamacare is finished. A new plan will have to be ready to take its place. Nancy Pelosi said if you drop it you will own it. If it is on life support wouldn’t it be easier to not own it in the first place? It would also prove that it was not self sustaining from the get-go. At least a better plan could be in place to replace it.
