MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said Tuesday that President Donald Trump is going against the teachings of Jesus and called him the “antithesis” of Christ’s teachings.
“You look in Matthew, and go through the Beatitudes. Every single beatitude. You go through Jesus’s teaching. What he says he wants people to be. Donald Trump is the antithesis of just about every single thing that Jesus Christ said on the Sermon on the Mount,” Scarborough said on “Morning Joe.” “Go read it.”
Scarborough admitted no one is perfect, but claimed Trump was acting this way on purpose and was “going out of his way” to disrespect the Bible.
“None of us are perfect, but he goes out of his way it seems to thumb his nose at all conventions. Including the basics of the beatitude,” he said.
This isn’t the first time Scarborough has accused Trump of being disruptive on purpose. Back in August, he said Trump was self-sabotaging his agenda and working hard to be “the least effective president in the history of the United States.”
