Former president Jimmy Carter claims that a full investigation would reveal that Donald Trump is an illegitimate President who actually lost the election in 2016.
Carter was speaking before a panel in Leesburg, Virginia when he made the surprising statements.
“I think a full investigation would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016,” he said without evidence. “He lost the election, and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.”
Did the Russians prevent Hillary from visiting Wisconsin and Pennsylvania? Did they make her a perpetual liar? Did they somehow conduct an operation that removed any shred of charisma from her body? I don’t remember anyone coming across evidence of that, do you?

“So do you believe President Trump is an illegitimate president?” discussion moderator Jon Meachman asked.

“Based on what I just said, which I can’t retract,” Carter quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd. “I would say yes.”
Threat to Democracy
I’m old enough to remember when it was a ‘direct threat to democracy‘ to question the legitimacy of elections. Hillary told us so.

Of course, that was when everyone on the planet was telling Mrs. Clinton that her victory was little more than a formality.
Do you know who else told us that people need to accept election results? The man frequently ranked with Carter as the worst president in our nation’s history, Barack Obama.
“There is no serious person out there who would suggest that you could even rig America’s elections,” Obama said prior to telling Trump he needed to “stop whining.”
Yet here we are, 963 days removed from the 2016 presidential election, and Democrats are still whining about Trump’s legitimacy.
Biden Agrees
Carter’s comments don’t exist in a vacuum. Former vice president and current Democrat frontrunner to challenge Trump also believes he’s an illegitimate President.
At a campaign rally in New Hampshire, one woman in the crowd told Biden, “He is an illegitimate president — in my mind. That’s it!”
“He’s illegitimate,” she continued. “And my biggest fear is that he’s going to do it again with the help of Vlad, his best pal, and we’re going to be stuck for six more years of this guy. And that is terrifying. It’s terrifying.”
First, that’s absolutely false. Your biggest fears are, like most liberals, facts and reality.
Second, Biden responded not by saying this woman was a direct threat to democracy, but instead, he hit the crowd with “look, I absolutely agree.”

Carter has said the media has been harder on President Trump than any other president “in recent memory.”
Now he’s helping the cause by throwing them a bunch of red meat.
