A Democrat sitting on the House Intelligence Committee has confessed – the Trump/Russia collusion investigation has yielded very little of tangible value.
Jim Himes, a Connecticut rep., indicated during a CNN interview that most of what the investigation has revealed is information already known to the public.
Cue the sad trombone.

“You know, I’m not sure I’ve seen a lot that the American people aren’t already aware of,” Himes sheepishly admitted when asked if he’s seen any evidence of criminal activity by members of the Trump campaign.
CNN’s Alisyn Camerota asked the Congressman, “Have you seen any evidence yet of a crime within Trump’s campaign?”
“The Congress is not about investigating crimes,” he said, saying he was “waiting to see whatever else” the FBI and/or the media are able to dig up.
Um, why is there a panel convened if all they’re doing is sitting around waiting to hear what Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the FBI, or the media come up with?
It’s clear the Democrats have uncovered little to no evidence of Russian/Trump collusion despite an 11-month investigation into the campaign.
Which is NONE … ZERO .. NADA … AUCUN …

Believe you me, Himes would love nothing more than to find evidence of wrongdoing. This is a man who tried to convince the Electoral College to delegitimize Trump’s election victory because he wouldn’t admit to Russian interference in the process.
“The President-Elect is completely unhinged,” he wrote, calling on the Electoral College to “do what it was designed for.”

In the interim, Himes said he has no idea what the timeline is for completion of the investigation.
“We’ve got a ways to go,” he said. “This is an investigation that needs to be done right, not done quickly.”
You’ve just admitted you have nothing new that the public isn’t already aware of. Time to wrap up this witch hunt.
