Two Illegal Immigrant Activists Arrested and Deported

You really have to question whether or not liberals believe their own shtick. In one breath, I’ll hear them complaint that America is a racist country that oppresses minorities – and then in another, I’ll learn that illegal immigrants come here for a better life.

Indeed, only in America will you see protesters with signs reading “Undocumented and Unafraid,” which is kinda odd, because if they’re unafraid, I’m not sure what they’re protesting. “No human being is illegal” is another sign you’ll see from protesters unaware that most countries have much stricter immigration laws than the United States of America. Believe it or not, Mexico has an illegal immigration problem too, and what’s the result? They deport more Central American illegals than the U.S. The reason you see so many leaders south of the US-Mexico border opposing Trump is because in that particular case, they don’t want their own citizens back.

As the Trump Administration actually begins to enforce the anti-illegal immigration laws that already exist, a number of high-profile illegal immigrant activists have found themselves arrested. According to the Daily Caller,

Immigration authorities have detained in recent weeks two prominent activists who are themselves illegal immigrants, demonstrating the Trump administration’s commitment to expand the pool of deportable aliens. The arrested men have openly lived in the U.S. for years and have until recently enjoyed a de facto immunity from deportation, thanks to their status as high-profile immigrants’ rights activists.

Both men are leaders of the New Sanctuary Coalition of New York City, a network of religious and social organizations that works to prevent the detention and deportation of illegal immigrants. ICE officers first detained Jean Montrevil, a Haitian national who had lived in the U.S. since 1986 despite having served a prison term for drug possession that resulted in a deportation order.

Montrevil was deported to Haiti on Tuesday.

The week before Montrevil’s removal, ICE arrested Ravidath Ragbir during his check-in with officials at the ICE office in New York.

Ragbir had previously been convicted in 2002 for wire fraud, having run a $400,000 mortgage embezzlement scheme. He’s set to be deported to Trinidad soon.

Naturally, “activists” have been calling the arrests politically motivated, and perhaps they were. The law is being enforced, and what better way to send the signal than to arrest those breaking the law? Given their past convictions, these are hardly the model upstanding citizens we’re supposed to believe most illegals are.

No longer is illegal immigration the only crime you can publicly proclaim without consequence.
